Smooth as Butter truly lives up to the name! I was a bundle of nerves and stress in the wedding planning process, and Candace, Brandy and the team always made me feel like it was possible (even with conflicts and moving to another state for a new job two months before the wedding). Their patience, calm and friendly demeanor, innate sense of creativity and immense organizational skill made this entire process a positive experience for me. They know the Atlanta wedding scene in and out and are dedicated to handling all situations with immense care. When a stressful family moment made me cry on the day, Candace walked up with a tissue, a hug and a caring smile and made space for me to take a breath and recover. As you can see in the first photo, Candace made me feel comfortable and gave me memories I will never forget. I would use this team again and again.

Smooth as Butter Weddings was absolutely phenomenal in every respect. They made our wedding so incredibly easy and went above and beyond to create our vision. We wanted a super no-stress, no fuss wedding, and it was - all because of the team. They even put together my insane vision for our hand-made chuppah. It was truly a magical wedding in large part to this team. And for such an affordable cost. We cannot thank you enough and also are so sorry this review is soooo late!!!!!

Timeka and Candace are simply the most thoughtful, hardworking, and genuinely wonderful humans in the wedding industry. My wife and I feel unbelievably lucky to have had them as our planners. Honestly, you know you chose the right people when you insist they celebrate like guests at your wedding rather than feel like “vendors.” Every single detail of our day and every moment that could have turned chaotic was handled with total ease and grace. Candace somehow wrangled family chaos like a seasoned professional (and probably a superhero), while Timeka was my personal wing-woman, making sure I stayed calm, and most importantly 😉, hydrated before making our grand entrance into the reception. They are organized, kind, and just so unbelievably good at what they do. Timeka and Candace didn’t just plan our wedding—they made the entire experience joyful, seamless, and unforgettable. I genuinely could write a book about these gals. We couldn’t recommend them more if we tried.

Candace was hands-down the best decision I made for my wedding, other than my husband :) I spent 10 months meticulously planning every detail and I handed everything over to her the week before and she absolutely crushed it. She took care of my family and my husband’s family. She was the glue for all the behind-the-scenes. I couldn’t recommend her more, she will be the best decision you ever make!!

Brandy was our “month of” wedding coordinator from Smooth as Butter, and she did a phenomenal job. We were planning a wedding from several states away, and, with minimal warning, Brandy was able to schedule a venue walkthrough during the very small window of time that we were in GA. The planning document Smooth as Butter provided was so essential to picking all our vendors, and it helped us think through details we’d never stopped to consider before.

During the actual day of the wedding, Brandy was incredible. She helped decorate the space beautifully, she made sure my husband and I were well taken care of, and she even chased us down as we were leaving the venue with a big bag of leftovers and cake. Any couple would be so lucky to have someone like Brandy helping them through their wedding weekend.

Working with Candace and her team was truly a dream. There is nothing she cannot do!!!! There was not a single detail or aspect of our wedding day that wasn’t thought of- Candace handled everything with grace and kindness. As a bride, all of my ‘what if’ questions- she had an answer for. She was calm, yet clear and always thorough and conscious. Every single one of my bridesmaids complimented her composure and direction. My family & bridal party felt like they knew exactly what to do and what to expect all thanks to Candace!
Candace fully embraced my vision (which had many layers and MANY details) and was able to make decisions behind the scenes because she knew exactly what I was thinking for the day. I had not one single worry my entire wedding day all thanks to Candace. Candace was extremely familiar with our venue and all of the staff @ Callanwolde. All of her other outside vendor contacts had nothing but exceptional things to say about working with Candace and her team. We truly ended up with a dream team of vendors and an absolute dream of a wedding day all thanks Candace @ Smooth as Butter!!! We love you Candace!!!!!!

We had a very positive experience with Brandy and Candace as our wedding coordinators! They were incredibly organized and helpful in the month leading up to the wedding. They are responsive and timely with emails, timelines, etc. On the wedding day itself, they took care of many details that helped us enjoy ourselves more without worrying about logistics. Candace also did a great job officiating and communicating about the submission of our marriage license. The videographer Pat was also delightful.

Brandy from Smooth as Butter Weddings was our day of coordinator and she was truly the MVP of our wedding day. Starting weeks out from our wedding, she was organized, down-to-earth, and so easy to work with. Our wedding day had a number of moving parts with a first look, ceremony, and reception happening in three different locations and Brandy handled it all with ease - coordinating a perfect first look, setting things up at our church for our ceremony, and then setting up our reception space PERFECTLY. Of note, on our wedding day Brandy was actually rear-ended driving from the first look location to our church and yet she arrived at the church early, made sure everything ran smoothly, and put us and our bridal party at ease. Rest assured that if Brandy is on your wedding day team she will be able to handle any hiccups thrown your way!

We cannot recommend Candace and her team highly enough! From our first conversation, Candace dramatically lowered our stress about planning our wedding. She frequently checked in, and made sure our vision for the wedding was being fulfilled. Whenever we were discussing hiring or renting something, she provided sound council. Every decision was made with great respect and care for our budget and we never felt pressured to spend more than our budget would allow. Her guidance was greatly appreciated.

One specific example of why Candace and her team are the best happened on the day before our wedding. The forecast had suddenly changed, and major rain was now scheduled for our completely outdoor celebration. We had been nervously watching the weather all week, but we felt reassured that we were in good hands with Candace which allowed us to enjoy quality time with our family and friends. On Friday morning at 7am, we texted the team that we decided we wanted a tent, and within 2 hours Candace replied with a contract for a tent that was affordable, beautiful, and the perfect size for our guest count. We were blown away! As evidence of her incredible attention to detail, she knew that our venue allowed us to stake the tent instead of using weights, saving us a few hundred dollars. That’s just one example of the level of detail and perfection you can expect from Candace and her team. We cannot stress enough how much knowing we had Candace handling everything made all the difference.

When it did rain in the evening, Candace’s team onsite, Hayden and Macey started to dance in the rain outside of the tent, providing such an incredible and carefree energy that others joined them. Soon enough, we were all dancing in the rain. Frankly, after that experience, we were glad that it rained! It added such a joy to our wedding, and we think her team deserve credit for making that happen. Even when it was pouring rain, they elevated our event and helped make it better than we could have hoped.

The week leading up to the wedding, Candace and her team coordinated with all vendors and checked in with us frequently to make sure our vision was being executed. When we shared that we were using all compostable dishes, she made sure that our caterers disposed of everything properly without us even asking. Her team led the ceremony rehearsals, and setup all decorations exactly as we had envisioned. Some adjustments had to be made during the wedding day, and Hayden ensured we were informed and made great calls every time to ensure we were having the best experience possible.   

The best way we can summarize our experience working with Smooth as Butter is that your only regret with hiring Candace and her team will be if you try to book them and it turns out they are unavailable.

Could not reccomend Candace and her team enough. She helped us plan every step of the way, even a few out of the box things like throwing an entire welcome party at our home for 100+ people and how to bring in a chef, bartender, rental furniture, decor etc to make our vision come to life.

She has a great team of vendors for reccomendations, understood our vibe to translate into logistics and design choices, helped us source so many things, made the day of run seamlessley and truly brought the magic to life. Very well run with great energy every step of the way!
