We had Smithsonian for our recent wedding and they were great! Peter and his team were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and served promptly. There was unfortunately a thunderstorm/tornado warning right before our wedding and despite that, Peter and his team were there setting up and making sure everything was to plan.

We could not have been happier with the food and professionalism of Peter and his crew at our Wedding this past August. Peter listened and was very attentive to exactly everything that we wanted. Everyone loved the food and there was plenty. We actually had their baker Make our wedding cake it was by far one of the best tasting cakes I have ever had. The desserts were scrumptious and were homemade. I cannot say enough about the waitresses and cook they were fantastic. So it you’re looking for a great caterer Smithsonian Catering is the one. The absolute greatest decision we made was booking with Peter to cater our wedding - where to even begin? The food was incredible. The servers were lovely. And their can-do attitude meant they jumped in to work with our other vendors as a team, from moving chairs to figuring out fuses. They took on many many roles that were not technically their job, and it made our wedding possible. We are so grateful. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!!!

From the first email asking if Peter would be able to cater our wedding, my husband and I were so impressed with Peter and Smithsonian Catering. Peter responded promptly, was incredibly flexible and worked with us to design our own menu, was very professional, yet down to earth. He made the entire process easy and enjoyable. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable! Our guests kept commenting on how delicious it was. You can’t go wrong with choosing Smithsonian Catering!

Pete and his crew were AMAZING! Pete was constantly in contact with us and worked with us to create a completely customized menu. He listened to our ideas and then put his own twist on them and the end result was phenomenal. We received so many compliments on the food! Also, if you like chowder, this is your place. Their seafood chowder is the best around. I can't recommend this vendor enough!

Peter and his crew at Smithsonian were fantastic! Peter was easy to work with and many people told us at the wedding that they loved the food. Some even said it was the “best wedding food” they’d ever had! Peter also covered our desserts which were a hit! Having both the food and dessert covered by Smithsonian was super convenient. We definitely recommend!

We used the Smothsonian to cater our wedding and let me just say, it was amazing. From the beginning Peter was great to work with. We had several conversations through email where peter walked me through what he could offer, which really was anything I wanted because he was open to creating just about anything.
Our tasting was great, and we didn’t hesitate to book him right away. Peter responded promptly to all emails and questions and never hesitated to help us with any additions or alterations we needed.

The food was phenomenal and we had so many guests tell us that this was the best “wedding food” that they had ever had. The staff was great. One of them even met my husband and I in the bridal suite with trays of appetizers and water so we could eat something before we entered into the reception.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Peter with Smithsonian for our July wedding. He was extremely flexible, and instead of picking from a fixed menu, he allowed us to be creative with things we liked and was willing to make anything for our special day. Our guests loved the homestyle cooking and our appetizers were on point! We have some leftovers and I can't wait to dig into them. Peter is super flexible and easy to work with. We are so happy we went with Smithsonian! We would do it again!

We used Smithsonian Caterers as the caterer for our Wedding in Northampton Mass. Throughout the process, Peter was exceptional to work with, and was incredibly flexible and able to make changes to the menu as we asked. Most importantly, the food and cupcakes were incredible.

Smithsonian Caterers was recommended to us by a friend who had used them for her wedding a year prior. We are so glad she did! Peter was easy to work with, promptly answered all of our questions (and I seemed to have more and more as the day approached), and helped us to create the perfect menu for our day. He accommodated all of our requests, no matter how unique, and the food was truly delicious. Many guests have continued to make comments, weeks after the event, about how much they enjoyed the food. In addition, the staff that worked the day of the event were helpful, friendly, and attentive. I am so pleased with everything Peter did for us, from our initial meeting to the actual event itself. I would definitely recommend Smithsonian Caterers!
