About

In March of 2012 Slidin’ Dirty brought the gourmet food truck craze to the Capital Region of New York. Owned and operated by Tim and Brooke Taney, Slidin’ Dirty puts its unique spin on street food with a variety of gourmet sliders and appetizers.

It’s not hard to see why we love slidin’ around the streets of New York’s Capital Region. In September of 2012 we outlasted all other vendors at Baconfest in Hudson, NY, feeding thousands of unexpected patrons. By the end of the event, Slidin’ Dirty was the only vendor still serving up food. Apparently we clean up nicely; our signature Dirty Asian slider won judges choice at the 2013 Albany Wine and Dine for the Arts Festival. Since then, Tim has appeared on local news stations preparing Slidin’ Dirty favorites. We couldn’t do this without our awesome fans and friends from across the Capital Region!

We also offer an array of catering services ranging from takeout style drop offs and food truck parties to weddings and full service banquets. Our experienced team is ready to tackle all of your catering needs.

Everyone should have a foodtruck wedding!

Slidin' Dirty was the perfect caterer for our laid back, but still cool barn wedding! As a vegetarian who can't eat dairy, it was really important for me to have options for all sorts of dietary needs. SD was able to accommodate it all! They had gluten free, vegetarian, and even vegan options that were all so delicious and filling. Plus Slidin' Dirty is totally nut free! Their staff was also a dream to work with. They followed me around during pictures with food and drinks to make sure we were well fed and a lovely server even helped me bustle my dress!

Slidin'Dirty did a great job catering our wedding. They did truck side service for 108 people seamlessly and the food was delicious. They even made sure we had a plate of apps from our cocktail hour and brought us our dinner plates first. Very attentive!

I could not be happier with our choice to go with Slidin' Dirty for our catering. After months of worrying and trying to find a caterer who wouldn't have surprise hidden $2k in fees, or recommending something that was completely not in line with any theme; we decided to go with Sliding Dirty. They were professional, courteous, and Jill was amazingly patient and flexible. They were happy to work with our dessert (Cider Belly Doughnuts), and even were able to get Nine Pin Cider on tap for us. The day of went swimmingly despite changes in our time line, and when I forgot a knife to cut our cake, the guys in the truck were happy to obliged. Of course the food was AMAZING, and I have had several of my guest who were not local still rave about it. I cannot recommend them enough.

Slidin' Dirty catered our wedding in August and it was absolutely perfect! We have gotten so man compliments on the food and service from our guests. Tim was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process. The sliders and passed hors d'doeurves were amazing and the wait staff was so friendly. They even told us we could go into the food truck to take a picture if we wanted to! Sadly, time went by so quickly that we never had a chance to take them up on their offer.

We don't have a bad thing to say about Slidin' Dirty and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer.

Slidin' Dirty catered our wedding and I am so happy that they did! We have gotten non-stop compliments on the food from our guests, and they were so accommodating and easy to work with, I can't imagine our wedding being the same without them!
We had our ceremony and reception in a barn in Woodstock, and the Slidin' Dirty food truck was perfect, since the venue did not have a kitchen. They also handled our open bar, and pulled off every transition in the day flawlessly. From passed hors d'oeurves and cocktail hour platters to dinner off the truck, then dessert and even packing my new husband and I a meal to go, we were beyond happy with their excellent service and friendly, helpful staff.
The sliders are incredible, definitely upscale finger food that does not disappoint. We did visit their setup in Albany, and will definitely be back to relive our perfect day. I recommend the avocado fries and ahi tuna sliders, simply amazing!!

We initially chose Slidin’ Dirty’s food truck to cater our wedding out of necessity (our venue didn’t have a kitchen) but we couldn’t be happier with the choice! We got dozens of compliments from guests both for creativity and for the quality of the food.

I’d found that many traditional caterers we talked to wanted to sell us on their vision, instead of the other way around. Slidin’ Dirty was much easier on our budget and much more open to what we wanted for our wedding. I couldn’t believe the amount and quantity of food they provided. Vegetarian and gluten free guests were well taken care of, which was a concern for us. They even went above and beyond with an additional hor d’oeuvre option and a special appetizer tray for the brides.

My only critique is that we’d expected the staff to do more clearing and clean-up than was delivered. Overall though, Slidin’ Dirty did a fantastic job and I’d highly recommend them.

Slidin' dirty provided really wonderful food at our reception! They were fairly flexible with the format and menu, even letting us use the food truck as a station. When our bartender was a no show, two of their wonderful waitstaff jumped behind the bar. They stayed late and provided wonderful deserts! The only negative thing I have to say is that Tim was a little difficult to get ahold of at times.

My wife and I were very happy with Slidin' Dirty, which catered our 75-person outdoor wedding at Thacher Park. The food was fun, delicious and our guests loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Jill was great to work with and helped us navigate some tricky logistics with the park. We would definitely recommend them!

We loved having Slidin Dirty at our wedding! The food was so delicious and unique, and reflected our style and taste. They were flexible with the beer and wine we selected, even getting our special hard cider "anniversary wine" so it could be served at the wedding. All the guests raved about the food, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The staff was so helpful and professional, and Jill was great. She went out of her way to help us accommodate certain guests who had food allergies. We are so appreciative!
