Sister Grove Farm is truly a hidden gem! We had our wedding there in January of 2024, and cannot say enough amazing things about Rodney and Sarah Macias who went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that we felt welcomed and cared for.

We chose in and around the Pavilion for our ceremony and reception, renting the Guesthouses for our wedding party. With it's vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the pond, it created a stunning backdrop for the entire event. The open spaces also allowed us to be creative with the activities we could incorporate, as well as the overall look and layout we wanted to make it personal to us which was a huge deciding factor in selecting a venue. It accommodated our wedding party comfortably while still feeling cozy and personal. And we also took full advantage of the commercial kitchen! The chef himself raved about how he "could cook anything in there".

My husband and myself would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a picturesque and intimate setting. We will cherish the memories of our time in this space for many years to come.

If my wedding was about love at second sight—remarrying my ex on our original wedding date (what would have been our 28th anniversary)—Sister Grove Farm was love at first sight. From the moment I visited, I knew this venue was perfect—not just to host our wedding but also to provide a welcoming and comfortable space for our family and friends, many of whom traveled from out of town. Sister Grove Farm exceeded every expectation, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The two guest houses were beautifully decorated, nice and clean, and perfectly suited for our family group of 20. Each house featured four bedrooms, with various bed configurations (from queen beds to bunk combos) that comfortably accommodated everyone. The Jack-and-Jill bathrooms connecting each pair of two rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed. Each bathroom included two spacious, private toilet stalls, a separate shower or tub area, and a large vanity/dressing space—ideal for getting ready for the big day. As the bride, I appreciated having plenty of room to spread out my makeup and prep while others could still use the facilities privately. The groom and our son (who officiated our wedding) had a similar setup in the second guest house—though their preparations were likely less makeup-intensive!

The thoughtful touches made our stay even more special: mini-fridges in each house, coffee makers with grinders and beans provided, plush towels, and unique decor that created a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. One guest house even had a record player with a collection of records—a delightful detail that added to the charm.

We rented the Pavilion for the duration of our stay, and it became the heart of our celebration. This event space with its professional-grade kitchen was perfect for hosting family meals, our ceremony, and the reception. The Pavilion’s kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for our family meals and 50-person wedding event, including sinks, dishwashers, ice maker, plates, elegant china, silverware, glassware, table runners, napkins, and more—all beautifully mix-and-match for an eclectic yet sophisticated look.

Our ceremony took place on the Pavilion’s back deck overlooking the lake—a stunning backdrop that made for unforgettable photos. The tiered deck design allowed all 50 of our guests to have a clear view of the ceremony at the edge of the deck. Afterward, we hosted cocktails on the front patio before transitioning to dinner inside, then dancing. The raised galley area between two greenhouses served as a magical dance floor under a canopy of twinkle lights.

The Pavilion’s Bluetooth sound system was another highlight—it allowed us to play music seamlessly across different areas (back deck, inside the Pavilion, or front patio) or all at once. Our singer performed with ease using the mic and sound system during the ceremony.

The farm itself is breathtaking. From the pastures with sheep and cattle to serene views of the lake, every corner of Sister Grove Farm feels like a peaceful retreat. On the morning of our wedding, twin lambs were born—a lovely omen that set the tone for a perfect day.

Sarah and Rodney were incredible hosts who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They live on property and were always available if we needed anything. They also provided two attendants who helped with event setup and logistics during the wedding—a huge help! Our caterer (Roots Hospitality) was familiar with the venue and worked seamlessly with Sarah and Rodney’s team.

Sister Grove Farm is more than just a venue—it’s an experience. Whether you’re planning a wedding or simply looking for a peaceful getaway with family or friends, this place is unmatched in charm, comfort, and hospitality. I would return in a heartbeat—next time just to relax and enjoy all that this incredible property has to offer.

Sister Grove Farm was hands down the best choice we made for our wedding! We were looking for an intimate venue for our micro wedding (about 40 guests) that would be comfortable for our guests, would feel special, and that would fit well with our vision for an outdoor garden party/farm wedding. SGF checked all of those boxes and then some! We booked their pavilion, both bunkhouses, and the historic farmhouse so we and our families could stay on the property during our wedding weekend, which made for an easy and very meaningful experience. The pavilion is such a great space for a small wedding- the kitchen is well outfitted, tables and chairs are included, we had access all day so that made set up less stressful, they have dishes and glassware, they have a sound system and a TV screen, and your event can flow effortlessly between the beautiful indoor space and the outdoor patio and the deck. We chose to have our ceremony on the deck overlooking their pond, and it was absolutely beautiful at sunset! There are several other spots on the property you could choose for the ceremony as well! Sarah and Rodney are the best people. They are both so warm and welcoming, incredibly gracious, and so great to work with! They were such a big help while we worked through the planning of our event, and we feel so fortunate to have met them. I could go on, but if you're considering Sister Grove Farm, definitely reach out! We had an amazing experience and could not say enough good things!!
