Where do you even begin the search for a wedding photographer? So many beautiful pictures, but who fits YOUR vision... If I remember anything about the wedding vendor search it was the strange underlying fear that I would make this really costly decision and then...end up with the worst pictures ever. Maybe that sounds silly, but it was a real fear. And now, here you are, probably able to relate to that fear in one way or another, so what can I do to make you feel better? Honestly... HONESTLY? Not much. Because the truth of the matter is-- there really are SO.MANY.AMAZING. Photographers. The thing is, there is more to it than pictures. There is a person behind that camera who will be spending a large amount of time with you, during one of the biggest days of your entire life. You should enjoy the company you surround yourself with always. Make sure you like the person behind that camera, that way you are simply surrounded by friends and family. No strangers. For whatever reason you ended up here. Maybe you are a friend of a friend, maybe you are a complete stranger that found me on a wedding website some Saturday ago. So while I have you, let me explain my method, and where I like to stand in the big picture of your wedding planning.
I love pictures.
I love taking them, editing them, looking at them, sharing them with friends and family. But photography is not the only love I have. I also have a love of people. Capturing those small interactions, the side smiles, THAT look. I love everything about the story telling that goes into capturing people exactly as they are. For me your wedding experience is a love story. And the only way I can write my story is with true connection. This means getting to know my couple so by the time your day comes around you are at ease knowing that I will be there with you both, capturing you two as a friend, not a stranger.
People like to say 'oh it was all over in a day', but the thing is, weddings are not just one day. Weddings are months and months of planning, that come down to one big celebration. I will never promise you one specific capture, though I always promise to try my best, but my one true hope with all my clients is to capture not only your day unfolding as authentically, and beautifully as you had imagined, but to have captured your family and loved ones in those moments with you. Because that’s what this is all about, a celebration of love whether it be an elopement with a select few, or an all out party, I promise to capture it all.

Effortless & Fun
I’ve used Sissy + Lou Photography twice; once for my business website, and the other for my wedding early last year. Both experiences were not only easy and fun, but the final product (on both occasions) exceeded my hopes. The pictures were, of course, amazing. Where I was really surprised, however, was with the short video she put together of our small and quiet wedding ceremony. I thought it impossible to capture the essence of our beautiful day, but Cait managed—somehow—to pull it off. She receives my highest recommendation. In my opinion, she is as well-rounded and talented as they come.

We could not have asked for a better photographer for our wedding! Caitlin has such an amazing eye for beauty and detail, plus she is so warm and easy to work with. She listened to exactly what we wanted, handled last minute requests like a total pro, and everyone in our wedding party absolutely loved her and Alexa. They have the ability to direct people to make sure they get the perfect shot, while making you feel extremely comfortable at the same time. All of our photos are absolutely gorgeous. Above and beyond what we hoped for!
