We couldn't be more grateful to have trusted Tanya with our wedding. She did an amazing job. I am not naturally photogenic and needed someone with the experience to provide direction. All of our photos turned out beautifully, they looked like advertisements. She made sure she was familiar with the venue and paid close attention the schedule, since she ended up taking shots at multiple locations. We had selected the middle package but once we saw the engagement photos we extended to 10 hours. The night shots she took were breath taking and unique. Through all the preparation, Tanya was organized, very professional and made sure we were all on the same page from the start. I'd say we knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day since she was very specific, but when it came to it she actually exceeded our expectations.
To start, she came early to set up and become familiar with the ceremony location. Tanya was quick, full of energy, caught the moment every time, and very creative, even when obstacles came up. Natural lighting can be a disastrous issue for some, but she used the light to her advantage.
In short, every single picture made us appear - well, photogenic! I couldn't be more surprised and impressed to see us on our wedding day, better than I thought we could ever look in pictures! These memories are picture perfect, thanks to Tanya and her assistant. I recommend Simply Photogenic to everyone!

Let me just start off saying WOW! What a terrific person! For not ever meeting her, she really is so easy to get along with and make you feel like family! She really takes the time to work with you, to get to no you and is willing to listen to your ideas. We really like all the pictures she took and liked how they were natural and not all prompted! She has great ideas and take some AWESOME shots! She is very efficient with your photos. The book she put together of lots of our wedding photos is something I loved the most, she did a great job on it and it really shows the hard work and time she put into it and something we will treasure forever. I cannot even begin to express my happiness with having chosen Simply Photogenic Photography for both my engagement and wedding photos. I live in Maryland and at the time my fiance lived in Illinois. Tanya was recommended to us by a friend (in Illinois). I loved the work she did for them so I decided to use her for our engagement photos.

Our engagement shoot was awesome! My husband (fiance at the time) is not much of a picture taker and didn't want to do the traditional mushy ones in a park setting. Tanya and I tossed some ideas around and decided on a more 'editorial/fashion' look for our pictures. Tanya took us to some really unique locations for our pictures (railroad tracks, alleys, warehouse buildings) and the final product was AMAZING. Very high fashion looking...I still get compliments on those photos to this day. However, what amazed me the most when working with Tanya is how QUICKLY you get your photos back. The entire session was literally uploaded to our gallery in less than 48 hours!

I was so impressed with Tanya that I had her come all the way to Maryland to be our wedding photographer!! The day of the wedding was horrible, weather-wise. Torrential rain and flooding :-( I was super stressed thinking I wouldn't have the wedding pictures that I always dreamt about. However, Tanya ensured me everything would turn out great and to not worry about the pictures. She couldn't have been more right! The pictures should have been the least of my worries because they turned out FANTASTIC!!! Even though the majority of them had to be taken taken indoors, they turned out beautifully. And once again, the entire gallary was uploaded before I even returned back home from my honeymoon!
