They did the up lighting at my wedding. It was simply breathtaking!!! The colors added a pop to the rooms!!! It was beautiful!

The lighting was beautiful. Simply elegant weddings changed the lighting when they got to the venue to make the venue look awesome.

Simply Elegant Weddings was a great company to work with! They handled everything for us, which made it so much easier! Cory was always available by phone or email. He was very flexible with meeting with us whenever we needed him. He even helped us with setting up our honeymoon!! He was our DJ and did an awesome job! Everyone keeps complimenting us that our wedding was the most fun they have ever had, and I give alot of that to Cory. He was able to get the crowd going whenever he saw it dying down. He let us pick our playlist and played everything we wanted! We had a great experience with them and I recommend them to everyone!!

This vendor was great!! They provided DJ, Photography, and Videography for our wedding. Everything went well for the day of the wedding. Our Photographer was great - Ed made us feel like we were models, making sure we were in the best light, best position and scenery. He has a great eye and was very professional - we can't wait to see the final product!! We had two nationalities in the wedding and they did a fairly good job of incorporating the two music styles for the DJ. They also were flexible in cancelling the bouquet toss as we were having too much fun dancing :-)

The only issue I had with them was communication. I had sent our final confirmation by their due date (via email), but received an email the day before the wedding claiming they had not received it. I'll take partial blame as I should have followed up with another phone call, but I believe there was also a lack of communication on their end as the girl at the front desk was supposed to have Cory call me back (I'm guessing the message was never received). I also never heard back on our price offer for a photo booth. They also have a website that you can supposedly use to plan your whole wedding, but when we met in person they had not even looked at it - kind of felt a little disorganized... maybe it was a new implement?

All in all everything went well and they were able to put everything together in time for the wedding day, I just could have gone without the mini heart attack from that email the day before :-P

We haven't started the final process for obtaining our photos and video, but hopefully everything will go smoothly. Once I have gone through the entire process, I'll update or add a review.

I think saying, "You get what you pay for" would be too nice for the experience that my wife and I had when dealing with Simply Elegant Weddings. As you see, My wedding took place 2 years ago, but some of the things that they did have stuck with me over the past two years. The only reason that I gave them 2/5 stars in the Quality of Service portion was because the photographer was OK, nothing to write home to mom about but OK. He didn't frame shots much better than my father in law could have, and the pictures were no more dramatic or edited than a smart phone could provide. (Keep in mind he was EONS better than the DJ and the Videographer). The DJ was by far the most shining example of ineptitude that I've ever witnessed. Prior to the reception, we asked him to create a sample playlist/small mix of our favorite artist. He said that he'd send it with no issue as he'd "gotten a feel" for us. We never received this, and sent him a list of "must play" and "must not play" music. He assured us that he understood "black parties" yeah.....that. He not only didn't play most of the "must plays" but he played several of the "must not play" songs. It was fairly clear that he wasn't prepared. Leading up to the event, we had our final consultation and he seemed confused, but everything was too far gone. The videographer was pretty awful as well. The editing was very basic, transitions were glorified powerpoint-ish and the microphones were on the entire time. We have only watched it once and probably never will again. In closing, if you feel that SEW is a good deal or the best you can afford at the time, consider postponing the wedding until you can afford a better quality organization.

What a ripoff! The service was terrible, communication abysmal. We agreed on a set package, and our own playlist. The playlist wasn't followed and there were a number of glitches in the equipment and lighting. To top it all off, half of the photos were out of focus and some of the most important moments were missed! Terrible, absolutely terrible company. Avoid at all costs!

They ruined my wedding video and took over 4 months to send it and when they finally sent it, I was in tears. They missed the most important parts of my day. I have tried to talk to them nicely and I have tried even sarcastically but I got threatened to have my entire video footage be tossed out of their system. This company is a joke. PLEASE save your money and wedding day and book elsewhere, especially if your church has no balcony and you have an ethnic wedding. They claim to know what they are doing at ethnic weddings but they have no idea whatsoever! I could have paid a 20 year old out of college when a camera from walmart to do my wedding video and he would have done better. All they give me are sad excuses of why they think they did the "best they can". I have showed this video to other professional videographers without letting them know what my complaints were and they were in SHOCK at the footage they were seeing.

PLEAAASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE save your money and headaches and your weddings, BOOK ELSEWHERE!

This was the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with!! I was unable to reach them for over a month and finally spoke with them a week and a half before my wedding. They showed up late, did not show up with what I had paid for and tore down early due to the power going out for a short time! Their employee began packing up the uplighting 15 minutes after the power went out but assured us that when the power came back on she would put the lights back out. Well the power came back on and she was still packing up, claimed the photobooth now did not work. And by photobooth I mean a black curtain and a tower, not actually a booth! Upon her refusal to set stuff back up and instructions from the so-called owner of the company (who by the way supposedly sold the company in April hence why I had such difficulty contacting them April thru May) to leave, she claimed that my husband had assaulted her and that a large group of bikers had surrounded her and would not let her leave. This was not the case, though I am sure my husband had a few choice words for her. Ultimately, she packed up and left which means that my guest book only had 3 pages filled out because I was expecting to use the photo strips for the guest book and then the guests would sign. So basically I don't know who all was in attendance and my reception was basically ruined as my husband was now angry and not in the mood to have a good time. In the morning I received a call from the "former" owner stating that I would not receive a refund of my money due to his employee being assaulted. There was no assault, no assault charges filed and if anyone was in the wrong it was Simply Elegant for not providing the services I paid for for the duration of my reception. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and while doing so came across another complaint from April 2015 where a couple had the same exact horrible experience down to the power outage, employee packing up & claim of assault to avoid the refund!
