Shawon is an amazing photographer and person! She was incredibly easy to work with, and she has so much experience working all kinds of different weddings. We were at the Oceanview of Nahant for our wedding and ceremony. We loved our engagement and wedding photos, and our parents really loved the photos too (they tend to be more picky and critical about photos!). For us, we really liked the Shawon's photography style, and we think she has a gift for capturing natural moments (in addition to being great at directing and taking posed photos). Our final product photos were super high quality, and her albums are incredibly beautiful. We highly recommend checking out Shawon's work, and if any photos speak to you, you should definitely reach out! The price was definitely worth it for us.

From our first call with Shawon, we knew we were in good hands. Not only does she have such a warm and fun energy (that persisted even when she was walking down a beach filled with jagged shells and seaweed on a 90° day to get our ~perfect~ shot) but she is clearly a certified pro. We had just had to cancel our big wedding, and were scrambling to come up with a new re-imagined elopement. Her expertise was clear as she advised us on a timeline for our elopement and photos, and she even helped us choose the best spot in our backyard for the ceremony based on the lighting and time of day (using only photos I had snapped of the property!). She knows how to work with nature to bring out the best for treasured moments. One thing I particularly loved about Shawon was how she knew when to let the organic moments happen (she captured so many cute, unexpected giggles) and when to help us with posing to get a prime elegant shot. I don't think things like that are really teachable - Shawon is one special lady!

I don't know if I can sing Shawon's praises enough! My husband and I are both very camera shy, as well as organizationally challenged, and Shawon made each step of the way so easy and exciting for us. We knew as soon as we had our first meeting she was the photographer for us. She listened to what we wanted and spent the time to get to know us as a couple to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. All the planning leading up was made so much easier by her check ins and after a scheduling session over video chat a month or so before the wedding, I instantly felt more calm and ready for the big day! The day of was a blur, but I felt so comfortable in front of the camera. Our bridal party and family also commented on how amazing she was. And most importantly, the pictures we received were incredible! I normally hate looking at photos of myself but I find myself scrolling through them all the time. I cannot recommend Shawon enough and am so happy with our choice!

If you are getting married in New England, I highly recommend hiring Shawon to photograph your big day. I almost did not reach out to Shawon because I thought there was no way someone with her talent was in our budget, but I’m so glad I did because she was our dream photographer and in our budget!! Booking her to be our wedding photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding on Cape Cod this past August. From the moment I spoke to her on the phone I knew that this warm, kind, calm, and organized person needed to be part of my day. Every time I talked to her throughout the process I instantly felt more relaxed. She was an incredible help for us, guiding us through a lot of important wedding details including planning our day of schedule and keeping us on time throughout the wedding day. In person she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very detailed oriented and gives clear instructions for photographs, but more importantly she helped us stay relaxed and enjoy every minute of our engagement and wedding photographs. Every person we talked to throughout the planning process only had good things to say about Shawon when we told them she was our photographer, and every compliment we heard she absolutely deserves. Our guests all loved her, and our photographs are stunning. She captured all of the emotions of our wedding day perfectly. We have a beautiful candid shots as well as elegant portraits. Shawon really puts her couples first. At both our Engagement shoot and Wedding we were getting ready to say goodbye to her when I realized I wanted just one more photo. Shawon was willing to stay extra to get a few more photographs, and I am so grateful to her for that. For our engagement shoot we brought our puppy and Shawon did an amazing job of capturing some adorable photos of us with him. In terms of communication Shawon is very quick to respond to emails and delivered both our engagement and wedding photos before her promised date. I hope we can find some excuses to do more photoshoots with Shawon because we just had so much fun working with her and every penny we spent was well worth it. I tried my best, but I don’t think this review does her justice. Seriously if she is available for your wedding book her this minute!!
