Shaun is not only a talented photographer, he is someone you NEED as a part of your wedding day team!! When we began the photographer search we talked to A LOT of vendors and unfortunately just didn’t “click” with anyone. From the first minute of our first phone call with Shaun, we knew we had to have him photograph our day! Shaun’s energy, his calming nature, and his mission to ensure everyone is comfortable and having fun throughout the wedding process made working with Shaun such a breeze! We hired Shaun nearly two years ago when we had planned on a June 2020 wedding. In the Fall of 2020, we had an engagement session with him at Maymont and the VMFA that was absolutely beautiful. We could not have been happier with how the photos turned out and currently have dozens showcased throughout our home. He captured our love for one another and excitement about getting engaged/married!

When the pandemic hit and upended our original wedding plans, Shaun made a shift to June 2021 seamless and easy with no penalty. We finally had the wedding of our dreams two weeks ago and looking back on that day, it would not have been nearly as special without Shaun and his team. He is professional, engaging, and kept our family and friends laughing all day. His assistant Elle was an absolute godsend, helping with anything and everything we needed that day. We absolutely cannot wait to see our wedding photos and are confident that they will be stunning. I cannot recommend Shaun enough. Shaun is literally the best! He was so incredibly professional, helpful, and flexible during the various stages of our wedding through the pandemic. He ended up shooting our smaller, intimate wedding last year and our postponed, larger wedding reception this summer. He was easy to work with and very understanding of the difficulties planning a pandemic wedding. More importantly, his photos from both celebrations were amazing and captured each day beautifully. Also, we just had so much fun shooting with him!! As a person usually behind the camera, he helped both of us feel comfortable in front of it, offering tips/tricks throughout. He captured our silly, spontaneous selves perfectly. And so many stunning moments with our friends/family. I couldn't recommend him enough to anyone looking for a fine art photographer for their wedding day!

Choosing Shaun as our wedding photographer was our best wedding decision! We liked him initially because his work was so professional, intentional, and centered around storytelling. From our first interaction, he was warm, honest, professional, calm, and experienced not just in photography but also in weddings.

Soon after booking and long before our wedding date (1+ year?), Shaun set up a call to start planning our day-of timeline. We knew nothing about day-of timelines, so this helped us so much! We ended up using it to plan everything else, and I loved having our timeline centered around the photography - Shaun helped us choose our ceremony time based on sunset time that day, and we planned the day out from that point.

His talent is so impressive - looking back at our photos, we noticed several special moments that were not just captured, but were framed and composed shots. We were amazed! And we've gotten so many compliments from guests, friends, family, and our vendors. His relaxed nature, sense of humor, and contagious energy made everyone comfortable in front of the camera.

Like many 2020 couples, we unfortunately had to postpone our wedding. During a time that was devastating for the wedding industry and a test for everyone involved, Shaun was so flexible, professional, and empathetic. As we were figuring out our new date and contacting all our vendors, we said to each other again that we were so glad to be working with Shaun.

Like many couples, we weren't able to hold our celebration on our original date. We rescheduled multiple times, and Shaun worked with us at every step of the way. He was extremely flexible and rolled with all of the punches, no matter how many changes we made. When our party finally came, my husband and I were a little nervous (so much anticipation!), and we appreciated Shaun's ability to put people at ease while they're looking at the camera. We had an awesome time chatting with him, which made getting our photos taken that much more enjoyable!
We absolutely love our gallery of photos! A month after the event, I am still scrolling through them on my lunch breaks. Shaun has a great eye for shots, and he managed to capture great photos of people who don't like having their photos taken. My father, a widower, doesn't like posing for pictures, but Shaun snapped an incredible candid of him--my dad said that's the photo he would use for an online dating profile!
