Shaun photographed our engagement photos and wedding photos; he captured us and the people we love perfectly. For us reflecting back on our wedding day through all the photos he took has been a highlight. The photos have vivid colors and truly capture the emotion and joy we felt through our whole day. If you're looking for a photographer in the VA area, don't wait--book Shaun now. My husband and I booked Shaun in 2019 for a large wedding celebration in 2020. Like many couples, we weren't able to hold our celebration on our original date. We rescheduled multiple times, and Shaun worked with us at every step of the way. He was extremely flexible and rolled with all of the punches, no matter how many changes we made. When our party finally came, my husband and I were a little nervous (so much anticipation!), and we appreciated Shaun's ability to put people at ease while they're looking at the camera. We had an awesome time chatting with him, which made getting our photos taken that much more enjoyable!
We absolutely love our gallery of photos! A month after the event, I am still scrolling through them on my lunch breaks. Shaun has a great eye for shots, and he managed to capture great photos of people who don't like having their photos taken. My father, a widower, doesn't like posing for pictures, but Shaun snapped an incredible candid of him--my dad said that's the photo he would use for an online dating profile!

Choosing Shaun as our wedding photographer was our best wedding decision! We liked him initially because his work was so professional, intentional, and centered around storytelling. From our first interaction, he was warm, honest, professional, calm, and experienced not just in photography but also in weddings.
Soon after booking and long before our wedding date (1+ year?), Shaun set up a call to start planning our day-of timeline. We knew nothing about day-of timelines, so this helped us so much! We ended up using it to plan everything else, and I loved having our timeline centered around the photography - Shaun helped us choose our ceremony time based on sunset time that day, and we planned the day out from that point.
His talent is so impressive - looking back at our photos, we noticed several special moments that were not just captured, but were framed and composed shots. We were amazed! And we've gotten so many compliments from guests, friends, family, and our vendors. His relaxed nature, sense of humor, and contagious energy made everyone comfortable in front of the camera.
Like many 2020 couples, we unfortunately had to postpone our wedding. During a time that was devastating for the wedding industry and a test for everyone involved, Shaun was so flexible, professional, and empathetic. As we were figuring out our new date and contacting all our vendors, we said to each other again that we were so glad to be working with Shaun.
Hire Shaun!! Choosing your wedding photographer is such a big decision. He will not let you down and you'll be so glad that he's a part of this time in your life!!! -

Shaun was everything you could ask for. In a stressful time, he was nothing but accommodating and helpful. His photos for the engagement and wedding were phenomenal, not to mention we had such a fun time hanging out and talking to him during the photoshoots. Highly recommend. Shawn was very detailed and professional. I cannot stress enough how important a professional photographer is for your wedding. Now that mine is over, all I have is the pictures and I thank god that I hired Shawn because my photos are so beautiful. I seriously just look at them over and over. They are absolutely timeless. This is a high price item for your wedding but it is the most important! The wedding day went great. Shawn and his crew were impeccable. Cut costs on anything else, not this. Wedding photos are forever and are worth every penny. -

World's Best Photographer
I don't even know where to start with Shaun. He is not only the most AMAZING photographer in the world, but he is also the most perfect person that I have ever had the chance to work with. From the time that I reached out to him until now he has been a joy throughout the entire wedding experience. He has helped us with venue issues, timeline changes, family dynamics, and just our overall crazy wedding. I really have no words to describe how amazing he or his work is. On top of being a PHENOMENAL person, he is the best photographer that I have had the pleasure to encounter. His shots of my fiancé and I really show the love and quirkiness of our relationship. I am SO happy that I was fortunate enough to happen upon Shaun, because my wedding day would not be complete without him. He makes me feel beautiful, my fiance feel like a stud, and our photos feel like they came out of the storybook romance every dreams of. Shaun is an amazing photographer with a TON of attention to detail. He does whatever it takes to make sure your day is perfect and your photos are perfect. We were so thrilled with our pictures. He spent 10 hours with us on the wedding day, plus numerous hours and phone calls beforehand planning. We also did our engagement pictures with him which were stunning! He has an editorial vibe of shooting and has a great eye for backgrounds. I highly highly recommend Shaun! -

My husband and I were both running late prior to the start of the ceremony and I cannot say enough about how calm and composed Shaun stayed the entire day. Which, helped me stay calm throughout the day/night. He helped us get back on schedule and remain on schedule the rest of the night. He was so helpful in moving things along such as family shots, cake cutting, etc. Shaun's style of shooting was exactly what I was looking for, for our big day. Our reception space was a small loft with a lot of exposed wood and I was nervous these shots would turn out orangey/dark due to the exposed wood. Shaun and I discussed this space prior to the wedding and he did a phenomenal job at making the space look big and light. Every single picture turned out perfectly!
