Welcome to Shannon Karmel Photography!

I'm a lifestyle and natural light photographer, that want to capture the love between each of our couples and share with the world! We specialize in wedding and senior photographic work. We also do maternity, newborn, and family portraiture, and are always looking for new experiences to photograph!

We've been in the wedding business 9 years now and haven't enjoyed anything more! Our mission on your big day is to capture those special moments, fits of laughter, tears of joy, and everything in between. We are with you from the beginning point of your day, from getting your hair and make-up done through the groom securing his tie and cuff links, to the end of the night filled with dancing and good laughs and driving away into your newlywed life. We enjoy capture the big picture of your special day as well as all of the details within it so make sure everyone can see all of those hours, days, weeks and months of hard work put into your big day!

Could not ask for better!

Shannon not only is such a talented photographer, she is an amazing person. We got along great, she kept things very light, funny, and on time. She was very professional, and prompt. I could not have asked for better!

Shannon was a true professional every step of the way! She was very flexible in taking the variety of shots we wanted at my daughter's wedding and had a true eye for capturing the special moments throughout the the day. She was great to work with! Shannon did an amazing job with the engagement pictures and I can't wait to see the wedding pictures!

I was just reflecting back on our wedding photos, one year later. I am so thankful we have such beautiful photos to look back on! Shannon was a joy to work with--organized, friendly, and with the eye to take great photos. So glad we could find such a great photographer that could fit into our budget! I would definitely recommend her :-)

We got married in August 2016 and knew that pictures were going to be very important to us! With that being said, money was a consideration and we found Shannon to fit our needs & budget 100%! We were able to have 2 photographers, 8 hours of coverage, engagement photos and a wedding book for half the price of what other photographers were charging. And her photos were EVEN BETTER than those photographers! She made us feel comfortable during our photo shoots and had us laughing a lot. On our wedding day, she got all the shots I requested and made sure we were taken care of throughout the event. It did take 8 weeks for us to get our wedding photos back, which could be a downside for some couples, but it didn't bother us. We kind of enjoyed the delayed wait because it was something to look forward too. All in all, if you're a couple on a budget but want top notch photos, this is your lady!!

Shannon was incredible to work with, extremely professional, and very friendly. Our entire wedding party sang nothing but praises for her work, her personality, and how smooth the experience was to work with her. Not to mention the quality of her pictures are phenomenal! My husband and I loved sitting down with her and telling her exactly what we wanted and were given exactly that in our pictures and service. She was willing to travel and even came to see my venue with me to get a sense of what she was working with.
Could not have asked for a better quality photographer and individual to capture our favorite day ever!

Shannon was the best photographer I could have asked for! Her pictures are amazing and she really cares about her clients. We met several times and despite the fact we live far from each other, she was super flexible and made the process very easy. I was able to put all my trust in her. On the day of the wedding, she took charge and made sure everything I wanted was played out. She pays attention to the details...for example, when taking family photos making sure everyone had their sunglasses off, positioning people so that it looks best, and making sure my necklace was placed properly during our photos. I would recommend Shannon without hesitation to anyone. She was also one of the most affordable photographers that I could find. If you book with Shannon, you are in GREAT hands and have nothing to worry about!

Shannon did an absolute phenomenal job photographing our wedding! She made us feel very comfortable, which made the whole day go by much smoother. The photos turned out beautifully! All of our friends and family were very impressed! I highly recommend Shannon to everyone!

Shannon did both my engagement session and my wedding day photography. She did a great job on both occasions. Super friendly, very easy to work with and gives direction well. Shannon was always very responsive to any questions my husband and I had and is very professional. Although it took around 6-8 weeks for us to get our photos Shannon was upfront about the turnaround time and we feel that we got a great deal on beautiful photos!

Shannon always responded to any inquiry very quickly with adequate answers to my questions. I had a little bit of a different situation and she was very flexible and understanding. As a photographer myself, the quality of the photos was most important to me. I am extremely pleased with Shannon's work and would recommend her to anyone looking for great value at an affordable price.
