Sean Tobin Music is a wedding musician based in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Sean has been pursuing music since he was young, teaching himself to play guitar as a teenager. Sean is known for his exuberant energy, professionalism, and flexibility in genre. He has been honored to perform for wedding parties in New Jersey for a number of years. Holding every event he plays in high regard, Sean carefully crafts his set to celebrate each couple and their party.

Services Offered

Sean Tobin Music’s repertoire covers a variety of pop, rock, country and alternative songs. He is also willing to learn new arrangements at the request of the couple. Sean can provide an intimate acoustic soundtrack for ceremonies, first dances, and receptions. Though he specializes in solo sets, Sean can be accompanied by two additional band members for your celebration. The initial consultation he arranges involves sample performances so each couple can determine what they would like from their personalized setlist. Sean is equipped with the necessary sound and PA equipment to play both indoor and outdoor receptions.

Sean Tobin was the absolute BEST!

Sean is absolutely FANTASTIC. My wife and I hired him for our wedding where he played for about 4 hours, including for our ceremony walk out and walk back. When I say that we heard rave reviews about Sean absolutely all night, it would truly be an understatement. Sean was so incredibly kind throughout the entire process, thorough with his work and just so incredibly talented. I highly recommend him for any type of event where you want live music to be played. You cannot pick a better person!

Sean Made Our Dreams Come True!

Sean was absolutely fantastic for our cocktail hour and reception! All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great he was, he played at the perfect level so that everyone wasn’t having to scream over the music, and he played every single song I mentioned to him during our phone calls. Sean made our wedding exactly what we wanted, and on top of it all he’s the nicest guy. All of our guests thought we were personal friends with him just because of how friendly he was. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

We hired Sean to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. We booked Sean about a year and a half before our wedding and I have nothing bad to say! From the day we booked him to the day of our wedding he was always very responsive. I had a few songs in mind for our processional and recessional songs and Sean was able to make a recording of them and send them to me. This really helped me in making my decisions for which songs to pick. He did such an amazing job on our wedding day!

So much fun!

We hired Sean after hearing him play at a friends wedding - he played during our cocktail hour and at our after party and we are so glad we hired him! Sean is great at reading the crowd and helped cultivate the vibe we were looking for at both events. He was super flexible and responsive throughout the planning process and we cant recommend him enough! Everyone had a blast singing along to his sets.

Knows how to read the room

Sean was fantastic for our 50 person indoor micro wedding cocktail hour and reception at a restaurant! He didn’t overpower the space at all which could have easily been done, but rather was the perfect background music during dinner and also the perfect vibe for those who wanted to hop on the dance floor or enjoy him while they waited for a drink at the bar. He definitely knows how to read the room an adjust to it! Several of our guests commented on how great he was, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with him! He is such a polite, respectful and professional person to work with and did a fantastic job MCing for us as well and was super flexible and easy throughout the whole event. Thank you Sean!

A Punk's Ideal Wedding Guitarist

From start to finish Sean was professional, easy to work with, responsive, and flexible with the songs he would cover. Not to mention his fee is extremely reasonable for the excellent quality of his performance. We hired Sean to play an acoustic set at our outdoor wedding Cocktail Hour and we could not have been happier with our decision to do so. We wanted to incorporate our taste in music along with some crowd-pleasers and Sean absolutely nailed it. He has a library of bangers that he can dish out but was also very willing to learn a few new ones for us to make it even more special. Some of our guests enjoyed him so much that they booked him for another party.

Everything we wanted- and then some!

Sean was an absolute dream to work with! From the very first conversation he helped us see the vision we wanted for our wedding. He was extremely communicative and always seemed to be one step ahead of us in the planning process. The greatest part of working with Sean was how extremely flexible he was during the event. When some of our guests had a few song requests that didn’t quite fit with our original plan, we asked Sean to accommodate. He didn’t bat an eye as he switched gears to the new vibe the wedding took on. Then he closed the party out with a bang, really rocking out on his last batch of songs. Everyone left happy and didn’t have enough good things to say about him. I would recommend Sean again and again!

Sean Tobin is Amazing!

We hired Sean to play acoustic guitar at our outdoor Ceremony and Cocktail Hour and we cannot say enough good things about Sean. He is beyond talented and made our wedding so special. He has a huge repertoire of songs and is willing to learn a few special songs if requested. He was incredibly responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process, and even provided recordings of the songs we chose for our procession beforehand. His music brought me and so many of our guests to tears, it was so beautiful and unique. If you are looking for an acoustic guitarist for your wedding, we highlight recommend Sean Tobin.

Amazing! The perfect addition to any event

Sean is so talented and the perfect addition to any event! He played during our farewell drinks/lunch at a local brewery the day after our wedding. He added the perfect ambience, had great energy and our guests loved him. Highly recommend!
