WHY WE DO THIS

A few years after we got married, our friend Jose got married in Panama. He flew his closest people down for a week. Slow mornings. Late nights. Reconnection. We came home and could not stop thinking about it.

We got married almost 20 years ago. It was fast. It was rushed. Beautiful and then over. Most people we loved drove home that same night. Since then, Josh's brother passed away. Meika's father passed away. When we look at our wedding photos now, we think about how little time we actually got with the people who are gone.

Jose's family is wealthy. Most of us aren't. Most couples cannot fly 100 people to Panama. They shouldn't have to.

Scarborough House was built in 1821. A lot has changed in 203 years. Making memories with the people you love hasn't. That is what we host here.

Scarborough House is a private historic estate wedding venue in the Greater Raleigh area of North Carolina. We built our entire offer around full-weekend weddings with on-site lodging.

YOUR WEEKEND

- Friday 3pm: your people arrive. Rehearsal that evening. Nobody drives home.
- Saturday: ceremony, reception, dancing. When the DJ wraps at 11pm, the fire pit gets lit. The night does not end.
- Sunday 10am: breakfast with everyone, then checkout. You wake up married.

WHAT MOST VENUES WON'T TELL YOU

Most venues add 20% to 50% on top of every vendor invoice that flows through them. We never have. Bring whoever you want and pay them what they actually charge.

The average wedding venue spend in the Raleigh area runs over $23,000 once you add hotels for guests, vendor markups, and add-on fees. The full Scarborough House weekend is $10,500. Your people sleep on property.

Once a weekend is booked, it is gone. 2026 and 2027 dates are showing now.
