When my daughter approached me with a wedding idea at Saw Mill Creek Resort in Huron Ohio, I was not at all for it, mostly because I always dreamed of her wedding being at home. The venue was chosen because it was half way between for family - Toledo and Cleveland. They wanted their wedding ceremony on the lake. It was the most beautiful wedding. My daughter came down to the wedding site in a horse drawn carriage. From our clean rooms, to the hospitality room, to the rehearsal dinner at the pub and finally the reception. Lisa truly made sure my daughter and son in law had an amazing wedding and in addition a weekend full of family memories. Lisa will go above and beyond. If you forgot something Lisa will run and get it. One example, we did not have anything for our reserved signs to hang on for the ceremony, she ran out that morning to the store. I would highly recommend Saw Mill Creek for a Ohio destination wedding.

Our wedding reception was held in the Wilderness Hall at Sawmill (the big hall). We were so impressed with Sawmill. We had a 350 person wedding and everything was so perfect. With such a big wedding, you would expect at least some little things to go wrong, but honestly everything went so smoothly. Lisa was so easy to work with and quick to answer any and all of my questions. It was the perfect wedding!

Had our ceremony at their beautiful gazebo location on the lake. They provided free transport for guests from lodge to ceremony site. Organizer worked with us to assure ceremony, cocktail hour, reception & other details were addressed. Made our special day flow perfectly! Food was excellent & the locations (gazebo site, patio for cocktails, ballroom for reception) were beautiful. Venue worked very well with our other vendors (cake, flowers, DJ, etc). Highly recommend!

I loved working with Sawmill Creek. Rachelle was my coordinator and she was SOOO helpful! The beauty of the lake and the gorgeous green grass was just amazing. The rehearsal was a breeze, which I was nervous about because it was the morning of our wedding! (We got married on a Sunday) It all went really well and our rehearsal brunch was amazing! Definitely eat the brunch buffet there!!! Delicious. The entire Sawmill staff was really accommodating- even allowing me to leave a couple things at the front desk for my sister to pick up the day after the wedding! I have had more compliments about our location- it was just perfect, thanks in a large part to the Sawmill staff and especially Rachelle! She even plucked our rose petals for us for the flower girls! She really went above and beyond! Highly recommend !!!!!!!!

Great place for a reception. All of our guests stayed at the hotel and it was great for them to walk home at the end of the night. The food was amazing and we had a beautiful cocktail hour out on the patio. Rachelle Conrady, the catering director was exceptionally responsive, helping us out every step of the way. She even served as a day of coordinator for all of the reception details. I didn't have to worry about a thing!

The wedding planners at Sawmill Creek are incredible. Jen and Marisa made sure that everything went smoothly on our wedding day. The were extremely professional, responsive and accommodating. I would recommend this location for anyone looking to create a mini-getaway for their guests. The wooded beach are is a breath-taking ceremony spot.

My reception was beautiful. The room was so spacious and elegant. We worked with Lisa Wood and she is so professional and organized we didn't have to worry about a thing. There was never a line at the bar, guests loved the food, and the cocktail hour was wonderful as well. We were also able to take gorgeous wedding pictures on the beach. Only things we would have done differently was figure out how to dim the lights sooner, and have the air running more (it got a little warm inside).
