We had the absolute pleasure of working with Courtney for our wedding on October 19th in Santa Cruz. Planning the wedding from LA, it was important to us to find someone local who truly understood the area. We were drawn to Courtney because of the beautiful work we had seen on her social media—and she did not disappoint.
From the start, she brought such a calm and grounding presence, which made the entire day feel effortless. She captured the most meaningful moments—not just of us and our guests, but also of our son and beloved dog, which was so important to us. Going into the day, my only real request was to get at least one good family photo (no small feat with a two-year-old and a dog!). Courtney went above and beyond, delivering not just one, but so many beautiful family photos, both candid and posed.
We are so grateful for her eye, her professionalism, and the care she put into telling our story through her lens. We cannot recommend Courtney enough—she is truly a gift to work with!

Ben and Courtney captured my daughter’s wedding day so perfectly. The pictures and videos are absolutely stunning. The angles, lighting, coloring and poses set them apart from all the other photographers/ videographers. They are not only incredibly talented but are genuinely kind and beautiful people. Working with Courtney to shoot our wedding was a fantastic experience. We had two prep calls with her to go over the details of the day and the shots that we wanted. She did a great job asking us questions to help us think through some of the details, and being fully on board with our vision. We didn't do an engagement shoot, so the wedding was our first time meeting! When she arrived, she immediately put me at ease snapping some getting-ready shots and the arrival of our guests. She even offered to help with some last-minute table decorations! Beyond being an absolute joy to work with, she miraculously captured every perfect moment. She was able to lightly direct us with some ideas for poses without being too rigid about how to pose or what to do. Our goal was a journalistic style vibe worthy of the New York Times and she completely captured it. I have spent hours staring at the photos. I am incredibly grateful for her presence, her photographers eye, and her professionalism throughout the entire experience. Not to mention that she delivered the photos weeks before we expected them! Her positive attitude was exactly what we needed for our wedding which was a little bit of a stressful day! We hired Sand and Stone to do videography and photography at our wedding in June at Nestldown in Los Gatos area. We really enjoyed our experience working with Sand and Stone. They were professional and responsive leading up to the event. They met with us twice to get to know us and better understand how we wanted the day to be shot. They also sent out a questionnaire to help them better plan their shots on our wedding day. They photographed our wedding at a venue that they had never done before, so they visited the venue beforehand to plan the best places to get photos and where to set up video cameras. The photos and videos turned out wonderful and exceeded our expectations! Beyond the professionalism and the amazing photographs and videos that they produced, they are truly wonderful, fun people and we loved working with them!

Courtney and Ben were so helpful and flexible during our wedding in October 2020. They did such an amazing job capturing our special day in the most beautiful way. The quality of the coverage is exceptional, they were incredibly organized/professional, and such fun awesome people. We originally planned on just having them do the Cinematic Feature and Social Media Highlight. After receiving the two videos we immediately asked them to add on a Full Length video. Wedding days truly go by so quickly it is so wonderful to have these videos to watch and help us celebrate our special day all over again.

Since our wedding we have had numerous photoshoots with Courtney and she always makes us feel super comfortable and captures the best pictures of us. She has the best style and always suggests the most beautiful locations. 100/100 highly recommend!!

Ben & Courtney were an integral part of our wedding day. I was a little hesitant trying to find a photographer for our wedding but Courtney and Ben were so nice responding to all my questions and concerns. They made us feel great and only had positive vibes.

My only regret was not taking enough photos! I was so concerned about pleasing everyone I wish we could have stepped away from dinner (it was so relaxed and chill) and did another photo session. I just feel like I didn't have enough nice photos of us!

They were both so great to work with and I would love to someday have another session.

My wife and I worked with Ben and Courtney to document our elopement in Big Sur this summer and it was the best decision we made! They worked hard to make the entire process easy and comfortable for us from beginning to end. They helped us plan a ceremony location, brought props along to add something special to our photos and were well prepared with things we didn’t even think we would need!
