I really want to take the time to share the incredible experience myself and my new husband had getting married at San Pietro this July, 2023. I would honestly recommend it to any brides looking for a destination wedding! It was so dreamy more beautiful than I could have imagined.

We are from London, UK and dreamed of an Italian countryside wedding weekend with all of our nearest and dearest. We were 56 in total, and wanted to have an exclusive venue, with only our guests on-site. We did a welcome pizza party Friday, the wedding Saturday and then a pool party bbq on the Sunday. The venue absolutely delivered on all of our requirements.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, it’s extremely peaceful, filled with birdsong and greenery. There is also so much history and art which adds to the uniqueness and prettiness of the venue. There are so many beautiful locations to make use of; the cloisters, the rose garden, the park (with amazing mountain views), the pool area (with toilets and changing rooms), and more! This made it great for hosting the guests in new and different locations all weekend. Plus so many locations for photo opportunities: The steps leading to the pool covered with flower arches was my personal favourite! Also the lighting in the hallways overlooking the cloisters was gorgeous! Every part of the venue was well nurtured and looked after. We made use of the spa with the bridesmaids and groomsmen on the morning of the wedding and it was the perfect way to unwind ahead of a busy day! We all felt very pampered!

The food was absolutely fabulous, and so plentiful! We are huge foodies so wanted to make sure our guests were well-fed with good food. San Pietro exceeded our expectations! We had the freshest oysters served during the aperitif, and the most tender veal sirloin served with dinner, I don’t think I have seen wedding food done so well and all our guests were raving about it! It’s obvious that the team work really hard on ensuring high quality menus with fresh and local produce! We had lots of dietary requirements to cater for but this was not a problem for the San Pietro kitchen, who gave our guests really lovely alternatives and made them feel included.

The venue’s wedding coordinator (Sara) was amazingly helpful, she did everything in her power to execute on our vision, and contributed great ideas! She was so responsive though-out, and we never had any doubts because she made us so comfortable. I am so grateful for all the staff for the impeccable service, and being so adaptable! We happened to get married during a big storm in Perugia and I will never get over how much Sara, Diego and team supported us with meticulous re-planning to make the day as perfect as possible! Luckily the venue is beautiful inside and out, with lots of sheltered options indoors which are equally as beautiful, so the weather didn’t take away from the day! Honestly, we were so glad to share our special day with all the venue staff, we really got to know them well over time.

San Pietro were able to sleep 36 of our guests on-site, and provide nearby accomodation recommendations as well as organised transfers for all of those staying offsite, so the coordination of guests arriving on time for events was perfect and simple.

We also worked with a celebrant recommended by the venue and he made all of the legalities really straightforward and easy to manage, so we were able to legally get married in a civil ceremony. But I also understand there are options for a religious ceremony in the lovely chapel.

Overall this venue was the best decision we ever made with regards to wedding planning. We intend to come and visit as often as we can.

From the very start, our biggest priority was our guests. Many were traveling from Ireland, and we wanted everyone to feel relaxed, cared for, and free to celebrate without worries. San Pietro sopra le Acque made that possible in the most natural way.

Having so many guests stay directly on site was a gift. Others were accommodated nearby, and the fact that the team helped us organize transfers to and from the airport — and daily transportation for our guests — took an enormous weight off our shoulders. No one had to think about logistics; everyone could simply enjoy the experience.

Over three unforgettable days, the place came alive with laughter, shared meals, long conversations, music, and yes… plenty of pints. It felt less like a “wedding event” and more like bringing all the people we love together in one place, fully present.

The warmth of the staff, the beauty of the setting, and the seamless organization allowed us to live every moment deeply. These memories will stay with us forever.

My husband and I got married at San Pietro Sopra Le Acque on 7 July 2024, taking advantage of elements that we considered essential in choosing the location: the possibility of getting married with a religious ceremony on site at the church which the structure is equipped with, our proximity and that of our guests (being almost all from the area) and holding the reception in the park area. Our day was exactly as we had imagined it, so much so that our friends often remember it as one of the happiest weddings they have taken part in (we are probably biased in describing it that way too!). The weather initially didn't seem to be on our side, only recovering shortly before the ceremony took place and for this I will never stop thanking all the staff who did their utmost (despite the now tight deadlines) to allow us to have an outdoor reception as we wanted. We will never forget it!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, the service was exceptional — every member of the team was kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive to our needs. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we could truly enjoy our day.

The location itself is stunning — a perfect mix of elegance and charm, with breathtaking views that made our photos unforgettable. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything looked!

And the food… wow! Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and served with care. It was a true highlight of the evening and one of the best meals we’ve ever had at an event.

Our wedding at San Pietro sopra le Acque was simply perfect. The place is breathtaking and has an unique Italian charm. Everything was beautifully organized, yet it all felt relaxed and effortless.

The ceremony in the garden was stunning, the food was incredible, and the team was both warm and professional. Our guests and we felt completely at ease. Sara our Wedding coordinator helped and supported us over a year with everything and made every wish possible. She is just lovely. But the whole team is incredible nice, supportive and sweet.

Living abroad, the help of Sara, our wedding manager, was fundamental from start to finish: always available, precise, and attentive to every detail. It took us some time to write this review, because we wanted to make sure to properly put into words just how incredible our wedding at San Pietro Sopra le Acque was. From our initial meeting with Sara, we felt there was something special about this venue and our instincts were absolutely right. As a couple from the United States, we planned our wedding entirely remote, which at the start was a nerve wracking concept. However, Sara made the entire process so easy and seamless from start to finish. She was so communicative and thorough with all aspects of our three-day event, from connecting us with the best local vendors to making recommendations for our dinner selections when we were unable to visit in person for our tasting.

From the moment we stepped foot on the property it was every bit as beautiful as we had dreamed. The venue not only blew us away with its beauty and location, overlooking incredible views of Umbria, but also with the amazing staff that made us and our guests feel right at home. Sara and the rest of the staff truly cared to make every day of our event so special and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our stay.

This location and it‘s amazing staff made our son‘s wedding a fairy tale. From the first moment we loved the various gardens, jasmin tunnel, the ancient cyprus trees, the garden furniture, but the dedication, professionalism and love went into every step of planning and execution couldn‘t be better in a 7-star hotel. Value for money? Absolutely! We chose this location not only bc the cost included event planning, the wedding cake, and a taste testing of the wedding meal, but also for the knowhow and passion of Sara, our event planner.
