We are a diverse group whose members have varied backgrounds and occupations. Most of the dancers are also trained in different dance disciplines such as ballet (classical/contemporary), jazz, hip-hop, ballroom (Latin/standard), international and folkloric dances.

Samo’s Dabke Group applies pressure to the boundaries of Dabke dance and attempts to bring a more theatrical and artistic side to this art form. Our dances keep its roots grounded in the traditional technique and movements of Dabke , but sometimes morphs us into something new and different.

Samo’s Dabke group has been part of many festivals in California including Miss Lebanon immigrant Competition , Club Bellydance L.A., Arab Festivals, and Cultural Dance Festivals. Also, the group presents seasonal different classes and workshops for all ages, in addition to an annual Dabke Night event. Samo’s Dabke group has the ability to accommodate any event from an intimate family gathering to a full scale dance performance. Our specialty is weddings zaffe/entrances.
