Having worked with many professional artists over the years, my standards are high — and finding someone in an unfamiliar market for a destination wedding felt daunting. Natural, skin forward, glowy, photogenic makeup that doesn't look like makeup is a genuinely hard brief, and I was nervous.
The trial was exactly what it should be — a chance to refine and communicate. I came to wedding day with some notes, and Samantha absorbed every one of them, and nailed it completely. And the hair — half up, half down, flowing but locked in all night. We were outside in Florida humidity and not a hint of frizz. She knows exactly how to make it last. Myself, but elevated. My husband, who was very vocal about wanting me to look like me (I don't wear much make & never wear foundation), gave his full stamp of approval. Samantha was also exactly the energy I needed in the room that morning. I was dealing with some nausea in the chair and she was calm, patient, and even shared ginger chews on hand. She's a total professional and a genuinely lovely person. My mom and maid of honor were both stunning as well. If you're a bride nervous about looking overdone — she is your person. Worth every penny.

I was lucky enough to find Samantha to do my hair & makeup for both my rehearsal dinner & wedding. I was determined to find someone who could give me a very natural look while also looking elevated. Samantha did this & went above & beyond my expectations! We talked through everything & she did not miss a beat. I also had 15 other girls get their hair & makeup done for wedding day & Samantha & her team made it all happen. Samantha was the best choice to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day. I had a destination wedding in Florida and found her on instagram. I wasn’t able to have a trial due to my travel schedule, so I was nervous about how I’d like my hair/makeup on the wedding day. Samantha absolutely knocked it out of the park. My makeup was perfect and looked so natural. My hair was exactly what I wanted it to be and more. I was blown away and just so happy with how I looked for my wedding day. She listened to what I wanted and made it into a reality. She was so kind, calm, and efficient. Her partner was also amazing! All of my bridesmaids hair/makeup looked flawless too! She was also super responsive and flexible with any changes I needed. I just can’t recommend her enough!!!

I can not recommend Samantha enough! I’m extremely picky and a perfectionist myself so I’m hard to please but she has exceeded my expectations and blows me away every time. Works wonders with hair extensions, the placement is so on point with your face shape, and can work with any kind of vibe. She is a true artist! And she’s so sweet!

Samantha is a true artist and her hair and make up team she brought were just as amazing. She made me feel so comfortable at the trial and talked me through everything. I could not have asked for a better experience for HAMU on my wedding day! I knew I struck gold when I found her. She was quick to respond with details and set up my appointment for my trial. She is the absolute SWEETEST! She is extremely professional and has so much experience in the industry. The day of my wedding, she met my bridal party and I at the hotel we were getting ready at and got to work right away. She works efficiently and quick, but is SO good at what she does. She set all of our hair before styling. SHe planned out a whole schedule and was great on timing. Her partner Ro did an incredible job on makeup and all of my girls and mom looked so stunning. Samantha did my hair for my wedding, as well as my bridesmaids hair. She also did my mother and mother in laws hair. I can't express how wonderful she was. She was patient and brought a calm presence. I chose Samantha because of her expertise doing hair, but I also wanting a stress-free experience while getting ready the morning of my wedding. The morning of the wedding, samantha was the first to arrive. Samantha made everyone look and feel amazing. If you wanted to change something about your hairstyle, she was flexible. The day of my wedding, I changed my mind from an updo to a half-up style. She didn't seem stressed or worried at all that we strayed from the plan. She wanted me to be comfortable and feel beautiful. Her prices are fair for the expertise that she brings to the table. her calming presence has a lastin impression on my wedding party - it has been over a year and my bridesmaids and mother in law still talk about how wonderful Samantha was and how great of a job she did. I am so glad Samantha was there to help me feel beautiful on my wedding day.
