Samadhi Hawaii is an dance company that specializes in the aerial arts such as, tissu (aerial silk), trapeze, hoop, rope and more. My husband and I wanted a rather eclectic and memorable entertainment for our wedding, so we decided to hire them for an aerial silk performance.
Andrea Torres is the company director and main contact person that we arranged everything with. Sweet, very attentive, and a great listener. We hired 1 adult dancer and 1 child dancer, and they also did a duo piece together as well.
I must admit, this was not the cheapest thing we ever paid for... we easily could have had a couple of my friends do hula and not have to cost a thing. But, Andrea had worked out a budget that was affordable for us.
Though we had an excellent experience with them, keep in mind that their capability heavily depends on if your venue can house their equipment and set up. Plus, many venues will require them to fill out liability forms due to the high-risk nature of the entertainment. So, depending on your vision of your event, the flexibility on hiring them can vary.
Other than that, Samadhi Hawaii is truly a treat for all ages!! The dancers are very artistic, skilled, and internalize beauty, grace and strength! Definitely something "different" you can wow your guests with!
