Sam Schultz Photography is a wedding and couples photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. Sam Schultz uses a candid, photojournalist style that focuses on documenting moments as they happen naturally. He specializes in helping his clients feel totally comfortable in front of the camera and removing the pressure of having photos taken. Rather than using traditional poses during photo sessions, he gives fun prompts that make the sessions feel carefree, allowing his clients to truly showcase how they naturally interact with their loved ones. He not only takes photos - he makes sure all of his clients have a great time doing so to make sure the final product is a genuine reflection of their love story.
Sam Schultz Photography's years of experience in the wedding photography industry make sure that his is equipped to expertly tell any love story authentically, particularly those with nontraditional touches. Fundraising as always been a part of Sam Schultz Photography's work, and a portion of every booking is donated to the Chicago nonprofit Brave Space Alliance.

Working with Sam and his team was one of the best decisions we could have made with wedding planning! He really took the time to get to know us as a couple and our vision, was an absolute blast to work with, and delivered the most beautiful photos.
Not only is Sam amazing, but he also works with wonderful people and was able to pull in a second photographer, Aidan, last minute (a HUGE ask during peak wedding season) when we decided we wanted a bit more coverage. Sam and Aidan were both incredibly creative and fun to spend our wedding day with. They also put us at ease when nerves ran high and recognized when we needed a breather. Our guests raved on how much they loved Sam and Aidan, too!
We of course loved the portraits but were also so impressed with the candids which captured so many precious moments that we otherwise may have missed.
Overall, if you're looking for a fun, thoughtful, creative photographer who also happens to be a wonderful human being, look no further than Sam Schultz Photography! Thank you again, Sam!

We could not love Sam more.
Sam is an absolute angel. From the beginning, Sam was so ready to ensure we had the best experience possible, not just with photography but in acknowledging that it was our wedding day and being genuinely and truly so excited for us. He cared about us as a couple and cared about making sure we got what we wanted from our photographs. He is a pleasure to be around and a one of a kind human being, Sam, THANK YOU.

Sam will exceed all of your expectations
Sam was the MVP of our wedding - from the first day we hired him, through the engagement shoot, the planning of the wedding day, and the actual wedding day he was absolutely incredible. He made everyone feel so comfortable and went above and beyond in so many ways to get the best photos we could have asked for. Throughout the day Sam was such a hero, our wedding party started a "Sam" chant more than 3 times because of his dedication, high positive energy, direction, and overall wonderful attitude. Sam exceeds expectations in every single way.

The absolute BEST!
Sam is so incredibly talented (and kind and easy to work with!). We are 4x repeat customers, and he’s produced the best family pictures with our two sweet pups that we’ve ever taken. He did our engagement photos, as well as our wedding! Couldn’t recommend Sam highly enough!

Chicago’s Best Wedding (and engagement) Photographer
From start to finish, my wife and I were truly overwhelmed by Sam’s talent, calm demeanor, and overall organization even on a hectic wedding day. We knew during the engagement shoot that we were in the best hands in the city. We, along with our family's, thrived off of his consistent humor and lightheartedness throughout the day. Sam always made us feel incredibly comfortable and it came across in our photos. We could not picture our wedding day without him there (and even wanted him to stay as a guest). He truly went above and beyond in every aspect, helping out and organizing wherever he was needed! We are so happy with all of our photos, and will be sure to continue using Sam in future life events! A true Chicago gem!

Perfect Third Wheel for Our City Hall Elopement
We booked Sam for our elopement at City Hall in October and cannot say enough wonderful things about working with him! From the very beginning, he was organized and communicative and put us totally at ease. The day of our marriage ceremony, he was the absolute best third wheel, making the day feel special by hyping us up and also disappearing into the background so that we could have some special moments that felt more private. Neither my husband or I had ever done a formal photoshoot before but we both felt so comfortable with Sam that it wasn't awkward. And most importantly, the end product was phenomenal. Sam had edited (and shared with us!) more than half the gallery by the end of the day. The photos are gorgeous (the colors, the lighting, the framing of the shots) and perfectly capture our special day. We feel so seen. 10/10 would book again!
