We’re Darryl Ann (she/her) and Joe (he/him) - a husband and wife team offering wedding and elopement photography in Seattle and beyond. We believe photography should be fun, effortless, and authentically you - and we're here to prove everyone who thinks they are awkward in front of the camera wrong.

Salt & Pine should absolutely take your wedding photos!
We worked with Darryl Ann and Joe for our elopement in the North Cascades in September 2021. It’s overwhelming to figure out what you are supposed to do to get married in the mountains, and they were so incredibly helpful beforehand, walking us through what we should expect day of, timeline, contingency plans for inclement weather, etc. On the day of our elopement, they made our celebration absolutely perfect. And their communication style with each other was incredible to witness. They are like a fine oiled machine: efficient, clear, kind and respectful to each other and also to us and our witnesses (our brothers). We never stood around wondering what to do next, as they helped us keep a flow that allowed for celebration time with each other and our brothers (and our beloved best dog), but also plenty of time to take incredible photos that truly captured the beauty of our location. They were so fast with sending us sneak peak photos, and also with providing the final album. The photos took our breath away. We are so grateful that we worked with Darryl Ann and Joe, and can’t recommend Salt & Pine enough.

Darryl Ann and Joe are easy to work with and made us feel comfortable. They helped us pose in a way that felt natural and as a result, our photos are very romantic. They are professional and personable photographers and understand and respect that your priority on your wedding day isn’t about the photographs, it is (and should be) about enjoying the presence of your spouse, family, and friends. They scheduled a few consultations with us where they answered our many questions and offered excellent ideas. We talked through the timeline and they suggested scheduling time to take photos of us as a couple and family photos before the ceremony began, so that we could be present with our guests for the duration of the evening. While this didn’t necessarily go to plan due to the rain, they did their best to ensure that we had amazing pictures together AND that we were present to celebrate with our guests.
They were prepared with their equipment and continued working in the pouring rain, offering reassurance and ideas for creative and unique photos. Once the ceremony started, they were in the background capturing the candid moments, conversations during the cocktail hour and dinner, and all the important aspects of the day.
They were flexible with us when we needed to postpone our ceremony due to the pandemic and they held our date while we coordinated with all of our other vendors to ensure that each of them was available on the new date.
We feel very fortunate to have such gorgeous wedding photos, and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful that we had Salt & Pine as our photographers and we highly, highly recommend hiring them!

The best thing about working with these two is that they check in throughout the planning process, giving you tips and making sure we didn’t have any unanswered questions. They are so personable and professional at the same time.
Words can out express how much they helped on our wedding day. They seamlessly dealt with our crazy family members and made us feel so comfortable. My husband and I hate having our pictures taken, but with them it didn’t feel awkward. They were so stealthy the entire day that I didn’t notice where they were at! They got so many amazing pictures throughout the day and I literally don’t remember seeing them in the spot where the picture was taken! That’s how stealthy they are!
They were so wonderful at capturing intimate moments with us and our families. And they we’re so quick with getting our pictures to us! I already have a bunch framed and hanging on our walls. I couldn’t find a single picture that I didn’t absolutely love. To sum it up, Salt and Pine is the best, if you want to have amazing wedding pictures, hire them ASAP! They’re worth every penny!
