Salon Emage Day Spa made my entire wedding party feel absolutely beautiful and confident on my wedding day. They traveled all the way to Charlottesville, VA, and brought an incredible team to take on hair and makeup for 15 people in my family and wedding party, ranging in age from 3 to 84 years old. Their talent, professionalism, and ability to work with such a wide variety of styles and personalities was truly amazing.

Grace, Maddie, Tiffany, and Melanee created stunning hairstyles for everyone — from glamorous half-up, half-down styles with luscious curls to intricate and elegant updos. They worked expertly with every hair type imaginable, from pin-straight hair to coarse curl patterns, and every single person looked and felt amazing.

Charla, Tiffany, and Corinne absolutely knocked it out of the park with makeup. Each look enhanced everyone’s natural beauty while still feeling personalized and true to each person’s style. Everyone looked radiant both in person and in photos.

Although hair and makeup services took place in a nearby hotel conference room, Charla and Melanee went above and beyond by traveling to the venue afterward to provide final touch-ups as needed. Melanee even helped me with a hairstyle change during my outfit change for the reception — she gave me the sassiest ponytail ever, and I felt so confident and carefree on the dance floor as a bride.

I have been a patron of Salon Emage for over 10 years, and after this experience, I can confidently say I will remain a lifelong customer. Their team is professional, talented, organized, and truly exceptional at what they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Karen and the entire team at Salon Emage helped make my wedding dreams a reality! Aislinn did my hair for my wedding and a trial ahead of time. Gia did my hair for my engagement photography and my bridal shower. Charlene did my makeup for my bridal shower and my wedding day. Unfortunately I can’t remember which artist did my makeup for my engagement session. We also had Tiffany and Correne on site to do hair and makeup for my family and friends. All of the ladies were exceptional to work with. Karen, the weddings coordinator, was great to email back and forth with to navigate logistics. She helped to make sure that all my questions were answered. She had patience for the things I wanted to know about and made sure to clarify everything. Every time I called or visited the salon, everyone was so welcoming!

On the day of my wedding, the ladies arrived early and set up in the room. They only asked for what they needed (like an extra stool that I forgot to put in the room, whoops!) but otherwise got ready and assembled without interrupting any of the music/brunch festivities in the other room. They were all social and friendly, chatting with the girls while they were working on our hair and makeup… asking questions about the wedding, but also finding stuff in common with us! They were all so kind and easy to talk to. It’s important to add that we had two kids- ages 2 and 6. They were GREAT at their makeup and the hair for the 6 year old. They let the 2 year old get her “fakeup” aka lipgloss and blush done in Mom’s lap and she LOVED it. She had the biggest smile on her face. They also worked with the moms to make sure that their preferences were followed and they even did the 6 year old’s hair according to the inspiration picture that she found. It was so kind of them to treat her just like they treated the rest of the girls. It was so important to me that they got to feel like a big part of my special day and I’m grateful to the Salon’s team for making that happen.

Between my wedding and the trial, I felt like the staff took detailed notes and were incredibly open to feedback on anything I wanted to change. The makeup and hair held up super well on my wedding day, which was really important to me! I loved how they created a great environment for me to comfortably give any of my honest feedback to them!

I have been seeing Grace for hair services since I moved to Virginia seven years ago. It felt like the stars aligned when Salon Emage confirmed she was available for my wedding. We had to postpone once and were lucky enough to still be able to work with Grace. She is great at what she does! I got so many compliments on my makeup and she perfected my iconic red lip look. My hair did not hold a curl during my trial and Grace was incredibly understanding of the feedback and adjusted for the day of. Unfortunately, my curls fell again, but overall I am still happy with how everything came together on the day. Grace also worked with my mother and grandmother on our wedding day and both felt like a million bucks with their completed hair/makeup services. I would recommend Grace's services to the any bride!
