We had a small rehearsal dinner, followed by a big welcome party on the river for over 200 guests from 20 different states. This is a perfect location for people that have never been to Chicago and those that are locals, because the view of the river and the buildings is absolutely stunning. They have the biggest covered outdoor patio in the city, and it was a perfect setting for our guests. From the dinner food to the appetizers and cocktails, every single detail was excellent. We couldn't believe how kind the staff was, from the person that we first interacted with to every bartender. They really cared about making this experience enjoyable and unique for our guests, and wow, they delivered! We are so thankful for what your team put together for us. Thank you, Rivers!

Absolutely stunning venue. Many guests commented how expensive our wedding must have been at this location... but it actually cost less than 1/3 of the price they guessed! That's how amazing everything was. Our whole experience leading up to the wedding with Dan was fantastic. Dan made sure we had everything we needed for a successful rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception. He had recommended vendors for DJ, production, and rentals which made our day of event schedule so much easier because many vendors had worked with Rivers in the past. Dan was also there day of the event and was a joy to work with. The true hero of the day was the manager Kelley who made sure everything was taken care of for the bride and groom and our wedding party. The weather was perfect for a late-May wedding and the river setting was stunning, especially at sunset. Not to mention the food, which was OUTSTANDING... including appetizers, salad, and dinner. I am still overwhelmed with how perfect everything was. The food, the service, the location, the staff. Thank you, Rivers!

Planning your wedding can be stressful, but working with Elaine and everyone at Rivers Restaurant made it a much more relaxed, pleasurable experience! Elaine was wonderful to work with, she responded to every single one of my emails/questions. Everyone who works here is kind, knowledgeable and wonderful at what they do. I chose not to have a florist, and Rivers allowed me to bring all my cut flowers and vases to the restaurant to my rehearsal dinner the night before and keep the flowers in a cooler. My mom and aunt went to Rivers a few hours before the ceremony to put the vases and flowers on the tables and the waitresses set everything up for them already! In fact they noticed we had extra flowers and got some of their own vases and put them out on the bar! It was so nice and looked so beautiful!
My wedding was in July and it is now November and people are still talking about the wonderful time they had at my wedding! My guests said this was the best food they ever ate at a wedding and they loved how the bartenders kept the drinks flowing!
I want my sisters and my friends to get married here just so I can come back!!

Rivers Restaurant was the perfect wedding venue to fulfill our dreams of a downtown Chicago wedding. Rivers had everything we were looking for: an outdoor area, downtown city feel, affordable, delicious food and drinks, and helpful staff. The outdoor space looks over the Chicago River, and was the perfect location for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. The patio is covered in case of any bad weather as well. The inside area was perfect for the dancing and fit our large 10 piece band. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and fun the venue was. They also continuously complimented the great food and drinks! There was plenty of bar space so no one was ever waiting for a drink. The wedding day went off without a hitch.

We did hire an outside wedding planner (Taylor Dahlstrom with Amelia Cole Events) as she used to work at the venue. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on everything. Also HUGE thank you to the manager Dan Letcher. The building was under going some renovations close to our wedding date and it stressed us out. Dan was extremely responsive and kept us updated on the progress to make sure everything was good to go for the big day and alleviated any concerns we had.

Rivers Restaurant truly gave us the perfect wedding!

After very quickly deciding the "type" of wedding we wanted, I instantly knew that Rivers was the perfect place for our wedding after seeing it. For what you get, which is the entire restaurant inside and out, top quality food and service, and various food and drink package choices, it's worth every penny. Our wedding was 3+ months ago, and our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was and how delicious the food was. If you want a wedding with a true downtown Chicago feel, Rivers will not disappoint and will wow your guests!

We could not have picked a better place for a Chicago city wedding. All the staff at Rivers helped make the day absolutely perfect. The view of the city was beautiful, food was amazing, and staff were well organized. We had so many compliments from guests on the venue. We hosted our August wedding reception at Rivers and it was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about the atmosphere, food, staff, etc. We heard multiple times from our guests how great the food was. We also did a late night snack which was a huge hit! We had about ~190 guests and the outside patio hosted everyone perfectly for dinner. We migrated inside after dinner where our band was set-up. I was a bit nervous about the space fitting a band and all of our guests, but it worked out perfectly! Overall, it was a great fit for our wedding and would recommend it to other brides in Chicago!

AMAZING! We were told throughout the night of our wedding and even for the days following the event how amazing the food, venue, and staff were. Compared to other Chicago venues, Rivers is very affordable for what you get. The dance space inside the restaurant is perfect and big so it's easy to have your whole wedding dancing! At the same time, the outdoor patio is such an incredible space for people to get fresh air, go outside and talk, and also to get spectacular pictures.

I loved the fact that there were two bars open, no one ever had to wait longer than a minute or two for a drink! Food was incredible and so was the staff. Can't recommend Rivers enough!!!!!!

Working with Taylor at Rivers could not have gone smoother. Everyone commented how pretty the wedding was and how great the food was. It was perfect inside and outside. Taylor makes everything a breeze. We planned the whole wedding from another state and I would do it again!!

I was the mother of the bride. The wedding ceremony and reception were held at Rivers. I cannot say enough good things about Taylor, their event coordinator, the food, atmosphere, and everything else! I was told by so many guests that it was one of the best, if not THE best, wedding they had ever been to. Beautiful location with packages to suit every budget!! My daughter and son in-law's vision of the perfect wedding was brought to life. We wouldn't have done anything different. Thanks Taylor for a job well done. It was perfect!
