Our cake was part of our wedding package with the Vizcaya. We totally lucked out with this place! Our cake was not only super cute, it was delish! I sent a picture of a cake I had seen in a magazine and River City Cakes replicated it perfectly. Our cake was 3 tiers with the bottom tier in "Banana's Foster" and the top two tiers in chocolate with chocolate mouse. Soooooo YUMMY!

Best cake! I have known River City forever. We always went there for our cakes and sweets for parties and such and so we werent surprised when our wedding cake ended up being delicious and gorgeous.

My husband and I were married on October 16, 2010. We were very pleased with our cake. It was simply and elegant, just how we wanted it to be. We visited a couple of places while searchig for a wedding cake vendor and when we landed on River City, we were more pleased than ever. The cake was so delicious! I truly believe it is hard to find a tasty wedding cake and River City was the best. Next up... baby cakes!

Her prices are so reasonable! She was even flexible with making us an additional sheet cake to save us money-not many people offer that up front.

Everything was wonderful. From the first time I called to schedule a tasting, (they were booked but squeezed me in since I was coming from out of town to plan most of the wedding in 3 days) to the last minute change in the size of the cake. The cake was beautiful, but most importantly, the cake was delicous. We got a ton of compliments on it from guests. The best decision we made was to eat the top for breakfast in our suite at the hotel. Best breakfast ever!

The cake was perfect--beautiful and delicious! We had a free tasting a few months before the wedding; we tasted five different cakes and all of them were wonderful. The flavors were clean and distinct, and the cake was incredibly moist. We decided then and there to book them, and they were great working with us despite our simple design (3 square ties offset, plain white with dots and edging). We had two layers of fruit basked, one layer of chocolate (with mocha cream and chocolate ganache), and one chocolate sheet cake. Everything was done perfectly and delivered on time.
