After reflecting on everything that went into such an important day, we truly believe choosing the right wedding planner is the most important decision you make through the whole process leading up to your wedding. In our case, we could not have made a better choice with Taylor, Christy, and the rest of the Revel + Rye team. We interviewed a number of different planners in the greater Tahoe area, but when we met with Taylor, we knew we had found the right partner. Throughout the process, Taylor and the team listened, understood, and embraced our vision. They provided the expertise we lacked - you don’t know what you don’t know - but never pushed opinions that weren’t aligned with what we dreamed of. Additionally, their patience was extraordinary. We were far from easy clients to work with. During the ~18 months we worked together leading up to our wedding day, my wife and I each had intense job changes, we moved across the state, and we made some pretty significant changes in our plans for the wedding day. Taylor was flexible with our schedule and worked with us to make sure we hit our deadlines without getting overwhelmed. Equally important, Taylor did an excellent job simplifying the vendor choices for us. She made it easy for us to pick the right vendors without having to do all of the homework ourselves, while still giving us all of the right information and opinions to make us confident in our choices. From there, Taylor and her team facilitated all of the discussions, alleviating us from having to deal with the most time consuming aspects, but bringing us in for the important decisions. I think that balance is different for each couple, but Taylor understood our time, our priorities, and how to keep things on track! All of those things made Revel & Rye worth it, but what really made their services priceless was how they handled our venue making drastic changes out of our control one month prior to our wedding day. It took everyone off guard and quite frankly, they were not changes we were willing to accept. Taylor took the initiative to first calm us down, then secondly take issue with the venue and sort things out. We don’t know what it took behind the scenes, but the venue reversed course and things went as planned when it mattered most. Similarly, it’s difficult to say what the team did on the wedding day… because they were so good at getting things done, keeping things running smoothly, and getting people where they needed to be without us even noticing. We never felt the stress typically associated with executing a wedding because Taylor’s team took care of every detail from start to finish. We could not have been more pleased with Taylor, Christy, and the rest of the Revel & Rye team.
