I was referred to Rebecca Medlin Photography by a friend of mine who used her for her wedding photography and was very pleased. I booked Rebecca for my engagement portrait, bridal portrait and wedding photography.

My fiance and I had a great afternoon with her at our engagement portrait shoot. She has such a great attitude and fun personality! After that, we were totally at ease and confident that we made the right choice in a wedding photographer. Plus, the photos were amazing!!!!

The bridal portrait shoot was so much fun too! We did all different kinds of poses and she got very creative and fun. I felt so comfortable and again the photos turned out amazing. They were better than I ever imagined.

At our wedding she was very prompt and prepared. She even wrote up a complete photography schedule for us to follow. Her assistant was great too. Those girls were just a pleasure to be around and a lot of fun.

We are so happy we found Rebecca Medlin Photography to capture our wedding memories!!! Our experience with her was amazing and the photos were even better!!! Very highly recommended!!!

I used Rebecca Medlin as my photographer for my wedding and for my engagement session. One of the only good things I will say about her is that my wedding photos turned out fairly well.

To be fair, my husband and I were on a budget when selecting the photographer and were looking to spend no more than about $1500 for the total package. Rebecca did come in at a reasonable price in that area and that included both engagement and wedding photos. The photos on her website were also very nice, so we figured we were getting the best photographer we could find at the price we wanted.

When we were scheduling the engagement session, my husband and I didn't know where in the area would be a good place to take photos, so we looked to Rebecca for help. She suggested a nice area in McKinney and gave us the impression that she had been there before. However, when we got there, she made it clear that she had not been there before and didn't know where to go or what parts of the location would be good for photos. We spent a lot of time walking around trying to find a good location. A lot of the photos turned out poorly due to sunlight in the way, wind/hair in the way, etc. I was not happy with the fact that she gave us the impression she knew the location well, and then later showed us she did not.

The wedding photography session turned out better. She brought an assistant and showed up at the agreed time, and took photos of the things I asked her to shoot, not just photos of flowers, cake, dress, etc. It was important to me that she get enough photos of all our friends and family, and of course my husband and I in addition to the other details. I thought she and her assistant took a lot of photos as well, which was a plus. I thought at this time she did a good job following the directions we had given.

Following the wedding, I expected to have to wait for the photos for several weeks, so did not even contact her until 1 month after the wedding. About 5 days after I emailed her, she replied saying she would have the photos ready in a few days. After no word from her for 2 weeks, I contacted her again asking for the status. At that point she said they would be ready that coming Friday without fail and that they would be ready on the website and that she would send me extra CDs of the photos for my family at no charge due to being so patient. I should note that we did not need extra CDs; we only asked for 3 sets of color and black and white - for my family, my husband's family, and my for my husband and I. I did not hear from her that Friday. The following Wednesday I emailed again, and was finally told they were available for viewing on the website. At that time I was able to access the photos as promised, and gave her my mailing address at that time for the CDs. I was told she would mail them the following day.

About 2 weeks later I had not received the CDs, so I emailed again. She replied saying that she had put the wrong address on the envelope and had to re-mail them. I finally received the CDs about 4 or 5 days later.

The last time we emailed she advised she would make a photo album for my husband and I as a thank-you. I thought this was a very nice gesture on her part; however, we have yet to receive the album and I am not interested in emailing her any further. At this point I have received what I paid for and am satisfied.

I am concerned about her because I feel that perhaps I got a lower level of service because she agreed to the price my husband and I were trying to pay, even though it may have been lower than she would normally charge. I do not think this is a good way to do business. When we sat down with her to iron out the details, I didn't think we would have to sacrifice professionalism and general good customer service in order to get a better price, but this is how it felt.

Bottom line: decent photos, bad service, professionalism and responsiveness.
