As a couple, we felt instantly at ease in her presence. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
During the planning process, she was prompt in her communication, attentive to our preferences and requests, and was so pleasant to work with. She provided guidance, support, and suggestions that proved very helpful. It was evident that she genuinely cared about our happiness and went above and beyond to make our experience as memorable as possible.
We are thrilled with the way our photos turned out and are so happy we picked Rachel to capture this special moment!

Rachel was great! She did our engagement photo shoot and our wedding photography. We couldn’t be happier with how our day was captured.

I hate to leave a negative review for a local, small business, but I feel it’s important to share our experience so other couples can make an informed decision.

Rachel was very kind initially, but ultimately she was difficult to work with and did not provide the level of service we were expecting. We booked her for our wedding, but after our engagement session, ongoing communication issues, and overall lack of client guidance, we decided to forfeit our deposit and book a different photographer.

You can redo engagement photos - you can’t redo wedding photos and we did not feel confident or comfortable moving forward with her for our wedding day.

Prior to our engagement session, I explained our style and vision and shared a Pinterest board weeks in advance. Upon arriving at the session, Rachel told me she did not have access to it. I also showed her a few specific poses we really wanted, but none of those photos were included in our final gallery.

We were also very clear that we are not models and asked for guidance with posing, hair, clothing, etc. and assured her that direction was more than welcome. Unfortunately, there was little to no guidance during the session. As a result, my outfit looked disheveled in some photos, my hair was stuck in my earring in many of the pictures, and in several shots where my engagement ring was the focal point, it was turned to the side -details that could have easily been fixed with minimal direction.

After receiving the gallery and expressing our concerns, we asked about the possibility of redoing the engagement photos and offered to pay for another session. Unfortunately, that conversation was also difficult and did not feel collaborative, which further contributed to our decision to move in a different direction.

Additionally, I asked about her editing process and was told that minor acne would be edited. I pointed out a small pimple on my chin during the session that she agreed she would edit out. However, this was not edited out in the final images, which was disappointing, as this is typically standard unless requested otherwise.

Ultimately, we made the difficult decision to move forward with another photographer so we could feel confident and relaxed on our wedding day. I truly wish this experience had gone differently and I wish any future brides reading this the best of luck during the planning process!
