When it comes to beautiful photography, there are so many options in the Seattle area! Of course, I fell in love with Rachel's work right away, but there were a few (a lot) of other things that set her apart from the rest.
Flexible Contract - there were so many options with booking! We could choose from additional time, a second shooter, engagement pictures, etc...We even ended up adding a second engagement session because we were so happy with the first round! Rachel knows so many great locations for winter and summer, and isn't afraid to hike through the snow to get the perfect shot.
Speed - We were a bit behind schedule on wedding day, and Rachel didn't bat an eye. All of our wedding party commented on how organized she was and how quickly she got through the pictures, and captured everything we wanted and more! When we got our pictures back, I was so surprised by all the family portraits that had been taken. Everyone was so happy to have pictures with their individual families, and everyone ended up using these for Christmas cards!
Personality - Something I didn't realize is that you spend your whole day with your photographer, and it's super important it is a person that you like! After our first meeting, my husband said she was just like my best friend, so it's no wonder we ended up absolutely loving her! Rachel is funny, smart, and so genuine, you can't help but be yourself in front of her.
Professionalism - Rachel captured some of our most emotional, and truthfully, private moments, and navigated it all so seamlessly. I never felt uncomfortable and I was honestly so thankful that she was with us on our wedding day! I didn't expect to have such a strong feeling of trust with our photographer, and I didn't know how important that trust was.
Other highlights include that she somehow found an actual meadow on the beach for us to take couple portraits, and during our snowy engagement session she let our dog wear her coat! Without doubt, working with Rachel is as good as it can possibly get.

I cannot begin to explain how amazing Rachel is, as a photographer and as a person. We are SO lucky to have had her as our wedding photographer. Our photos are stunningly beautiful, so beautiful it makes me want to cry. It’s like something out of a fairytale.

Rachel has a superior eye for detail. Every single photo she takes is amazing. We are going to have a hard time choosing which photos to frame.

She is a JOY and one of THE MOST kind and thoughtful person ever! Throughout the day of my wedding, from getting ready until the end, she would ask me if I was doing ok. She genuinely cares. I was basically running on fumes and I was deeply touched by Rachel’s genuine concern for me. That is who she is as a person; sweet, kind, and caring.

We had a large wedding party and Rachel was such a rockstar at getting everyone in place for photos. I know it must have been challenging, but Rachel handled it like the pro she is.

Rachel made my husband and I feel super comfortable in front of the camera. She gave us direction and feedback. It was fun!

We are extremely grateful and so happy that Rachel was our wedding photographer. We adore her and are fans for life! We HIGHLY recommend her!

Rachel has been such an amazing person to work with! She was so easy to talk to and comfortable to be around. She was great at directing us if we didn’t know how to pose (because posing can be awkward) and made us feel right at home. Also, she takes amazing photographs with a super FAST turn around time! We received a sneak peak like the next day for our engagement photos and the rest of our engagement pictures in like a week! When our wedding day came around, within 2 days we had tons of pictures from our wedding day to tide us over until she gave us the rest in about a month! On the day of, she was prompt, professional, and so kind. She reminded us to drink water and made us laugh so much and took all the pictures we requested. If you want whimsical and romantic photos, look no further! Our wedding day truly would have been incomplete without her! You wouldn’t go wrong picking Rachel Howerton as your photographer! I’m already thinking about booking her for an anniversary session. :D

I have been following Rachel for 4 years before I got engaged. She had such a bright and Disney/fairytale style I didn’t see in anyone else’s work. Rachel is professional, sweet, kind, and incredible. First we met her for our engagement shoot and she made it so fun and it was quick (for all the husbands out there who cringe at the thought of getting their picture taken). Of course, the pictures came and I was in love! She blows it out of the water every time. I get nervous that I didn’t look good or I should have worn something else... nope. Turned out amazing!

I live in Montana so Rachel has to fly out. She got her plane ticket, place to stay, rental car, etc. all by herself and was in constant communication and excited. She really lifted my spirits on what was a stressful but happy day. She had a timeline and really really stuck to it. She made everyone smile and we already got our sneak peeks which have me so antsy for the whole million photos! We did fun pictures and serious. She was just incredible and so so very good at her job. I received several compliments from guests and family at the wedding for finding my photographer and how wonderful she was. I really am going to tell everyone to hire her for their wedding because not only is her work product out of this world, but she is one in a million also ❤️ I don’t know what else to say except i would give her 20/5 stars if I could and that she is worth every penny!

Rachel was NOTHING short of amazing. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would in a heart beat. I had seen Rachel's work through social media, and right when I got engaged I didn't hesitate to reach out to her and we are so glad we did. She truly helped make our day so perfect. Rachel is so happy and she has such a fun, bubbly personality. She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera! On our wedding day we felt like we had a personal cheerleader cheering us on during our photos, and she made us feel amazing (and our photos are absolutely BREATHTAKING) . Her photos are romantic, magical and whimsical. She is an overall amazing photographer, and I truly cannot say enough great things about her. I would recommend her to anyone I know. All that we can say is WOW. We were recommended to Rachel by a friend and thank goodness we found her, we could not be any happier with our photographs. From beginning to end Rachel was simply fantastic and our engagement and wedding photos are breathtaking. Taking pictures was a little bit awkward for my husband and I at first, but she makes you feel so comfortable and the candid shots of us laughing at each other and with her are my favorites. I will also add that it rained pretty hard on our wedding day and despite my dismay at the time, she took some AMAZING rain photographs and they have turned out to be our favorites. So, if you're considering Rachel for your own special occasion or session, look no further, just book her! Our pictures are simply magical, you won't regret it.

OMG I can not say anything but good things about Rachel!!! Not only did she take the most beautiful engagement photos of my husband and me... but she made our wedding day a DREAM! She was happy to help last-minute steam my dress, help me put on my shoes when I couldn't reach past my dress, and truly went the extra mile to make my day special. She truly cares about her brides and it shows in her work. She made me feel very relaxed in front of the camera and made my husband feel relaxed too! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone I meet, the is the best!!!

Rachel is AMAZING. Best photographer I have come across. I am so impressed by not only her work but her professionalism and work ethic. And I was shocked she’s so young and beautiful too!
