An amazingly personal, delightful ceremony

We elected to use Rabbi Jen as our officiant for our wedding much to my chagrin--I was raised Jewish, but was not thrilled about having a Jewish wedding. It meant a lot to my mom, however, and my husband was ok with it, so we went with it. We met with Rabbi Jen 5 times in total--once to meet her and book her services, and 4 times so that we could get to know each other a bit before the wedding. She incorporated some measure of counseling in our sessions, though it really was mostly about getting to know us and exploring the traditions to determine what we wanted to include, based on the meaning of each one.

When it came to the ceremony, Rabbi Jen absolutely knocked it out of the park. She was hilarious, descriptive, joyful. The ceremony was incredibly engaging for everyone who attended. I had at least 20 people tell me how much they loved the ceremony, and tons of people asked me and my family if she was our family Rabbi! That is how personalized the ceremony was. It was truly delightful, and my only regret is that I don't have the entire thing on video.

I cannot recommend Rabbi Jen enough! She will not disappoint.

A meaningful, personal ceremony

As an interfaith couple, we had many conversations about what our ceremony would look like and who would perform it. We are so grateful that Rabbi Jen was available! I was raised Catholic and my now husband was raised Jewish. We celebrate and honor both Christianity and Judaism in our relationship and our household. Rabbi Jen was somehow able to create a ceremony that felt inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

She worked with us in the months leading up to our wedding to help us have in depth conversations about our goals not only for our wedding but for our marriage. We were able to focus on each other as partners and what vision we had for our future. She worked with us to create a ceremony that reflected our individual backgrounds, families and traditions while also keeping the focus on us as a couple and the joining of our families.

So many people who attended our wedding have told us it was one of the most wonderful and personal wedding ceremonies they have ever witnessed. It was so meaningful for us and was the most wonderful way to mark the moment of becoming husband and wife.

We could not say enough about how much we appreciated working with Rabbi Jen Gubitz and highly recommended working with her.
