My mother hired Rabbi Tuffs to marry my husband and I about a dozen years ago . He took his time prior to the wedding to get to know us both so he could craft a wedding experience that was both personalized and warm . He reflected on our similarities and differences , our hopes and dreams as an interfaith and intercultural couple . He helped us create several meaningful rituals including using my grandfathers talit to wrap us in and using a beautiful olive wood Kiddush cup given to me by my late father . He also came early to ensure we completed our Ketuvah certificate correctly . He was respectful , kind and had a wonderful and warm sense of humor . My mother was so thrilled and proud and my husband and I were both delighted .
