DJ Nick and the rest of his team were amazing. They took our vision and our wants into account first and foremost and did what was needed to make our event really fun and memorable. I would not hesitate to hire this company again if I ever need a DJ or photobooth! Thanks again, guys!

We can't say enough good things about Nick! He made our wedding absolutely unforgettable. The dance floor was full the entire night and we received so many compliments from our guests about how fantastic he was. From day one it was so easy and enjoyable to work with him; we had a particular vibe in mind for the evening and Nick completely got it and knocked it out of the park. Such a fun evening that we will never forget.
Additionally, Nick was very accommodating and worked with us patiently up until the last day for our song selections & last minute changes.

From the first zoom call til day of wedding waa very prresponsive, reasonable priced, very professional the day of wedding & made sure any requests we had were met! Nick Santangelo of Pulse Entertainment is many steps ahead of other DJ’s. I did the work and shopped around for our NYC May event with a detailed list of requests. Nick responded every time. Our wedding ceremony was to take place in a small community garden. However, the board did not allow music so to not disrupt others enjoying the garden. Nick came up with a creative solution. Like a silent disco, he suggested a silent ceremony. The wedding party wore earbuds paired to phones which Nick managed and synchronized for us. Our guests were also able to listen and be a part of our Garden Wedding. It may be one of the first. On May 6, The New York Times took interest and wrote an article “A Silent Ceremony in a Noisy City.”

Our Garden ceremony was followed by a wonderful reception at the private event space at Lafayette, where Nick did an an earlier on-site visit. On the day of our event Nick was setup in advance so he could move from the afternoon upper Westside garden to the evening NoHo celebration. Nick was always dependable and managed his time perfectly.

From what I’ve experienced as a guest at other venues, DJ’s seem to have the same format. Playing the same type of music at a very high volume. We knew the genre we wanted and at the volume level our guests could enjoy conversation and dance music. Having a playlist, and importantly a no play list guided the music to our taste.

Nick is also a very articulate host which is necessary to keep the event moving. His professionalism and attention created the style of celebration we desired for our wedding day.

I heard about Pulse Entertainment from a friend of mine who had used them for a private surprise party. From the moment we first spoke, I felt like my partner and I knew Nick for years. He went out of his way to make sure we felt understood and heard. Every detail was carefully attended to and our guests kept calling for more. My spouse and I recommend Pulse Entertainment very highly.

It was so wonderful working with Pulse Entertainment for our wedding! We couldn't have been happier. Some of our other vendors caused us major headaches, but Pulse made everything really easy and straightforward. We really felt how passionate they were about our wedding being a priority. Our DJ, Nick, was everything we had hoped for and more in a DJ and emcee. We had a few specific requests and he was so attentive to detail and flexible, it really made it one less thing we had to worry about to have the dream wedding we had hoped for. Nick Salsa and his team were utter professionals in every way. More than that, they were truly passionate about the service they provide and could not have done any more to make our day more special. My husband and I recommend them 100%!

Pulse entertainment was great! The Dj, Nick was extremely professional. He was very attentive to our requests and made our day memorable. We specifically only wanted Latin music and Nick made sure to make it happen. He had our guests dancing from the moment they stepped into the venue. Thank you Pulse Entertainment!

Prior to our wedding, Nick was responsive to emails, answered our questions, and was personable over the phone. We filled out Pulse’s Google Form with all of the wedding details, talked through with Nick over phone, and provided additional details like timeline over email.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Nick was unable to attend the wedding, so he notified us 2 days before the wedding that he would send his second-in-command, Jose (MC) in his place, along with Sergio (DJ). We asked for contact information and never heard back… just radio silence.

On the day of the wedding, Jose and Sergio arrived with a print out of the Google form and clearly had not read it, as they began asking me basic questions about the reception, did not have the songs for our parents’ grand entrances, did not have the timeline we had sent to Nick, and did not have the father-daughter dance song. My impression from both Sergio and Jose was that Nick had not relayed any information from our calls to them, and they showed up completely unprepared.

What annoyed me further was that they decided the day of my wedding was the time and place to argue with me. They claimed that it wasn’t in the form (which I then pointed them to)…
When it was time for the reception grand entrances, the music was incredibly quiet and short for our parents, they mispronounced and repeated multiple names of our bridal/groom parties, and they messed up our names! Even without preparation, how hard is it for them to read off a sheet of paper????? And how do you mess up the names of the bride and groom????
After the first dance, their lack of preparation became even clearer, as our timeline indicated speeches next. Instead, they not only cut the music entirely but also announced the father-daughter dance incorrectly. This led to a really awkward situation of having to correct them in front of our guests. When it was the right time for the F-D dance, they abruptly announced it in the middle of a song while people were still dancing, and didn’t give anybody a chance to get out of the way.
For the dance sets, they played FULL songs, didn’t play the genres we requested (to the point that we had to ask multiple people to go up and request songs), played 5 out of 20 of our “Must Play” songs… It was the equivalent of putting on a Spotify playlist, except the playlist wasn’t the one we picked. Multiple people asked if they could just plug the aux cord into their own phone.
I would never recommend Pulse Entertainment to anyone. It is truly unbelievable to me that we provided all of the details, the songs, the timeline, the names... and they couldn’t do us the honor of simply reading it. The lack of preparation is truly unfathomable. For Nick to say that they were anything near “adequately prepared” is an incredible slap in the face after what took place on our wedding day.

In summary: they showed up, mispronounced everyone’s names, followed their own timeline, and put on a recycled, unwanted playlist. Stay far away from this business.
