The Groom: I came to find Pugh’s by chance through a chance colleague of mine. It turned out that Pugh’s in Zanesville was just beyond my (then) girlfriend’s parents’ home. I’ve worked in jewelry before and beyond “the C’s”, I know a thing or two about diamonds. If I was to ask my girlfriend to marry me, I needed a piece unique and special, one that was very much representative of her beauty. Brandon at Pugh’s treated me like he’s known me forever, like family. I made arrangements to go out and meet Brandon, describing what I wanted for the diamond and the ring. Warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, Brandon brought out the items that closely matched my requirements. Close, but not quite. Brandon went out of his way to contact all of his best suppliers to find the perfect piece. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find the most perfect, symmetrical, rose-like, brilliant, non-”crushed-ice”, clear, and near-flawless cushion cut diamond? Pugh’s does. They brought in 10 beautiful stones for me to check out in great detail (that’s hard enough!). Brandon told me, though, “I found it.” It was the one for my one. I’d already decided on the setting, and things came together perfectly. That was just the engagement ring. Fast forward several months. Her wedding band was easy, Brandon knew exactly what would go with the ring we put together. As picky as I am, I couldn’t decide what I wanted for myself. Luckily, I had Brandon to help me explore the variety of what would be my band. Again, we landed on just the right piece. Short story long, Pugh’s is the kind of place in which you can feel comfortable, with friendly, service-oriented people that treat you like family - the people that you trust with the things that matter. Thank you, Brandon, and the great staff at Pugh’s for giving me and my (now) wife the best service one could ask for in the jewelry business!
