Top notch venue!

This venue is amazing! The scenery, the food, the service is amazing. We had our wedding here in October and it was the best day of our lives! We were married lakefront and had our cocktail hour and reception in the partitioned room. The staff are extremely accommodating and AJ made the experience easy and stress free. The venue looked amazing and our guests had a blast and couldn’t stop talking about it, even after the wedding.
Thank you Point Breeze for making our day everything we dreamed of!!

Lovely wedding on 10/6/19 - Bride & Groom Review

Our wedding at Point Breeze 10/6/19 was the best choice we could have gone in terms of location, food, design, accommodations and more. Our wedding day consisted of an outdoor ceremony beginning at 3 p.m. and the reception to follow. It was a dream day and we are happy to share a glowing review.

The on-site ceremony area by Lake Webster is just gorgeous. While the restaurant is part of the overall landscape, we had privacy and there weren't any people dining outside while our ceremony was occuring. We found it so nice for our guests, especially older guests, that everything was on-site. We had about 100 guests or so and only 70 chairs so some people stood during the ceremony. It was also an overcast day in October, but definitely still warm enough to be outside. Point Breeze has a trellis which you can use for your ceremony and decorate as you’d like. As you can see in some of our photos we chose a floral look.
For the ceremony you’ll need to hire a DJ/Band or someone to do audio so the sound travels outside. We had my uncle connect us with some audio and we had a live instrumental duo to play instruments which they amplified.

After the ceremony is time for the photos. We took family photos right on site in the lake-side area. The lighting was perfect and there are some sweet wildflowers and a birch tree for scenery. While our guests had a musical cocktail hour, we took our couples photos. Here is a link to our photographer’s blog post on our big day. https://www.allierichards.com/blog-feed/2019/chelsea-roland

Allie did such a wonderful job and wanted to highlight here as well in-case anyone is looking for a budget friendly wedding day. Allie Richards Photography, is very experienced and reasonable when it comes to budget and time. We were so thrilled with our photos.

The food was amazing. AJ -- Point Breeze Owner, kindly offered my husband and I to have all three meal offerings so we could experience what our guests were having. On our menu was the stuffed chicken, steak tips and baked haddock all with a side of potatoes and roasted carrots. The food was amazing, and my husband made sure I sat down to enjoy some. Our guests received a cocktail hour and the bar is in the Pinnacle Room which made for easy retrieval of drinks. Our guests loved it. We also offered appetizers for the reception which we also loved by guests.

The room we had our reception is was the “Pinnacle Room” and we also had space on the outdoor deck to use -- overlooking the lake. So fantastic. There was a ton of room for our 9 piece band to play and tons of room for dancing. There was ample space for 100 guests to walk around and mingle, though the Pinnacle Room can hold up to 140 people. It was a fun space for children as well (we had about 10 children attend.)

If you like a wedding venue that gives you free reign on design, creativity and overall vibe, Point Breeze is your place. You design the band/music, decor, room setup, menu, outdoor ceremony and drink menu. They are truly helpful when it comes to setting up your reception room and the flowers. We also had a vendor come in that the restaurant works closely with to have slips on our chairs so they looked prettier. Highly recommend doing this, added a lot to the ambiance of the room.

*Leaving off here are some things to be specific about with Point Breeze day of or while planning: pay attention to room temperature during the reception and the timing of events -- (have a good plan with AJ about timing a few weeks beforehand)

*Give your photographer a great idea of where you want photos, go to the venue on your own to scout out areas so the day of your wedding you have a game plan. There is also a beach nearby if you want a beachy vibe -- Memorial Beach. AJ the Point Breeze owner will show you around Point Breeze grounds where there are plenty of green spaces, beachy and rocky places to get your couples photos taken.

Ladies there is no “getting ready” area at Point Breeze. I actually put my dress on when I arrived there just minutes before the ceremony because I did not want to get driven in my dress. So you’ll either have to rent a nearby hotel room or get ready at home. Thankfully my mother has a picturesque house/yard so we got ready there. It wasn’t too big of a deal breaker not having a “suite” to get ready in and probably cut costs.

We had truly fantastic day at Point Breeze that left us with a total wedding bill under $9k including everything below and more. I highly recommend all Central, Mass and Boston-based services listed below. We had such great experiences with all of our vendors.

When it comes to wedding venues, Point Breeze is simply the best kept secret in Central Massachusetts- a gem overlooking gorgeous Webster Lake! Extremely reasonable/affordable and so picturesque! Owner AJ and every single staff member we met were readily available to answer all questions and assist us in every way necessary. The bride and groom wanted their reception to be movie -themed and we were able to decorate with lights/backdrop/movie posters- exactly what the couple wanted!! And we were able to do all of this days in advance of the actual wedding date- so perfect!! The reception took place in The Pinnacle Room, with beautiful views of the lake and easy access to the deck outside, which the guests really enjoyed! They also absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere we were able to create! The room was very comfortable at all times and when dancing raised the temperature a bit, the room was immediately cooled for us. As we were leaving at the end of the incredible evening, so thrilled with the entire night, we noticed the staff at the other end of the room, already cheerfully preparing the space for the next day’s wedding- SMILING all the while! The next day as we returned to pick up speakers/sound system/decorations from the night before, we found EVERYTHING had beeen very neatly and carefully packed for our easy retrieval-so professional to the very end!! Our daughter and new son had the exact reception they envisioned and could additionally put the many thousands of dollars they saved into their European honeymoon and their future home fund! AS IT SHOULD BE! You will not find a more reasonably priced venue that you can personalize and make your own on your wedding day! We sincerely thank A.J. and the entire staff! When he told us it was his honor to serve our family, we believed him! After enjoying the Point Breeze experience, we have a feeling there just may be another wedding or two booked by our family members there in the future!! WE CAN’T WAIT!!

On the day of our wedding a tornado touched down a few miles away knocking down power lines. As a bride this is the last thing you would ever want to happen. I was in a panic- it was down pouring, our outside ceremony would have to be moved, and I thought to myself would our wedding be canceled? The answer was no. I showed up early in the morning to start moving around decorations and without power there were people already getting everything in the kitchen ready for the wedding. The rain stopped and they wiped down all the chairs so we could have our ceremony outside, and it turned out better than any of us could have hoped for. AJ and his team were flexible, accommodating, and phenomenal. To this day we're still getting compliments about where we had our wedding because the venue was beautiful.

Reasons to choose Point Breeze:
1. The view- get married right on the water, with windows overlooking it in every room.
2. The food- all of our guests raved about the meals.
3. The staff- they would do anything to make your day right. I always felt welcome when I went to visit, I would just let the staff know that I was going to be walking the grounds. I was also able to decorate the day before, but that is based on the other events booked.
4. The pricing model- you don't pay for the venue, per se, you have to meet a food minimum based on the room you reserve (plus taxes and a small fee if you have the ceremony on site). Based on the number of guests, the day of the week, and the food selections, you can make it fit your budget. Also, when you reserve the room, you reserve it for the whole day.
5. The gluten free options- myself (the bride) and my groom both cannot have gluten. AJ worked with me to have our appetizers made gluten free so we could enjoy them too and made separate meals for us.

Cons:
1. There is no place for the wedding party to get ready. You have to get ready off site. It worked for us, but may not work for others.
2. You should have a microphone for the ceremony. Since boats frequently pass by on the lake behind you. Again, a microphone solved that issue for us, but I can see that being an issue for some brides.

I had a beautiful day and would recommend Point Breeze to anyone.

AJ and everyone there are amazing! All our guests loved the food. Priced extremely fair! We actually go there just for dinner sometimes! Amazing food! All of the employees are well trained for events. I had one girl help me with my dress walking down the stairs and let me know when i should start. Made me feel very calm. AJ is so calm about everything that it makes you less stressed! He even made sure he had our favorite beer on hand for that night! Everything was perfect and I am so glad I picked here! Beautiful view too, even on a cloudy day!
