When couples book Pigeon River Mountain Retreat, they can secure the entire 500-acre compound exclusively for their wedding party. Set on 500 pristine acres with over three miles of riverfront, the retreat hosts only 10 weddings per year. With luxurious accommodations for up to 70 guests spread across multiple dwellings, the entire wedding party can stay together in one spectacular location. Additional lodging for up to 18 more guests is available with the rental of the Panther Creek Farmhouse & Panther Creek Pavilion.
No other guests, no distractions. The couple and their loved ones can enjoy their own private village in the stunning natural beauty of the North Carolina mountains. Pigeon River Mountain Retreat offers an impressive array of venue options to suit any wedding style. The authentic Wedding Chapel has an antique organ and bell tower that can seat up to 200 guests. The Peacock Pavilion offers a beautiful outdoor setting for the
champagne toast. Jonathan Creek Tavern is a three-story riverside gathering space with lounges, decks, a kitchen, and dining areas (plus additional lodging for up to 8 people).
Then, there is Bobcat's Loft, an art-filled indoor and outdoor event space featuring a bar, dining tables, a fire pit, and a mountain view terrace (plus additional lodging for up to 6 more guests). Multiple scenic riverfront areas provide the perfect spot for ceremonies and celebrations, as well as hours of fun in the beautiful Pigeon River.

Pigeon River Mountain Retreat provides an unforgettable adventure for all guests. The property features 20 miles of hiking trails through pristine mountain terrain. There are three miles of river, perfect for lazy tubing excursions, and both swimming and fishing are activities on offer in the crystal-clear waters. Guests can unwind and play a game on
the tennis, basketball, or pickleball courts.

When viewing our distinctive property, please keep in mind:

● In most cases, we require a wedding planner to assist with your events.
● Nearly all our guests opt to rent our 4- and 6-seater UTVs to shuttle guests, enjoy the property, and more easily navigate the hills and gravel roads. Otherwise, we highly recommend driving 4-wheel vehicles.
● Rental of our fully equipped food truck makes catering simple. Each of the lodges and venues provides well-stocked kitchens as well.
