The luxury wedding venue can host up to 250 guests for indoor and outdoor celebrations, complete with scenic views. Their grand ballroom has a large terrace, while their Bourbon Bar is ideal for more intimate gatherings. A glass-enclosed patio is available for medium-sized celebrations. For couples who would like an outdoor ceremony, there is an elegant gazebo overlooking the course.

History
The country club dates back to the pre-colonial era. William Penn, whom the club is named after, was given the land by King Charles II. Fast forward to 1962, and construction for the club began. By 1965, it opened for business and received new ownership in 2003. The venue has been hosting weddings since its doors opened in the 1960s.
Location
Philadelphia International Airport is 45 minutes away from the venue. In the area, guests can visit Ridley Creek State Park, Bellevue State Park, and the Delaware River.

We can’t say enough good things about how great it was to have our wedding at Penn Oaks on 3/28/2025. We started our venue search early and booked in July 2023 shorty after getting engaged. Penn Oaks blew us away with what they offered, that it was an easy choice to go with them. From the first time we met our coordinator, Carina, we knew it was the spot for us. Carina was wonderful from beginning to end and has such great communication and professionalism and made the process so easy. With such a long planning process, Carina reached out with updates and things to keep us on track. Every staff member we interacted with was great, especially Lisa the night of the wedding. Having your wedding at Penn Oaks really makes everything so easy as the packages are reasonably prices and are basically all inclusive to taking care of everything with the ceremony, cake, centerpieces, food, drink, photo booth, lighting, hotel stay for the wedding night, and even more – so there are less vendors that you’d have to worry about on your own. We had our ceremony at Penn Oaks also and they offer two beautiful ceremony options (indoor and outdoor) and are flexible with any adjustments in case of weather. Luckily the weather held out for us and we had our ceremony outdoor, but would have been just as happy if it was indoor as both options are great. The food was outstanding, and our guests keep telling us how great it was – fresh, hot, and delicious all night long. We couldn’t have had a better experience and will always recommend Carina and Penn Oaks to anyone who asks. You will not be disappointed picking them for your day!

Best Venue Ever!
Immediately after touring, we booked Penn Oaks as our wedding venue and Carina was amazing from the start. Throughout our two year engagement, she reached out with updates, considerations, and kept us on track. She is so knowledgeable and answered all our many questions along the way.
Once we got to our wedding day, I was so at ease on the day because I knew we were in great hands. Myself and my bridesmaids got ready at the bridal suite at the venue, which was so cute. Penn Oaks was so accommodating allowing us to come on sight as early as 9 am.
My husband and I decided to do a first look and bridal party photos before our ceremony. Let me say the Penn Oaks grounds are stunning. So many beautiful areas for pictures. Unfortunately, due to weather, we were unable to hold our wedding ceremony outside as originally planned but the plan B option in the tent was just as magical. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful everything was.
Now to the cocktail hour and reception... the service was awesome! From the wait staff to the bartenders. The food was OUTSTANDING! Penn Oaks offers so many options for both cocktail hour and the reception that you can choose from. Our guests still rave about the food.
Truly couldn't imagine our wedding day any other way and we have Penn Oaks to thank for such an unforgettable, beautiful wedding.

On our wedding day, we felt so supported by the whole Penn Oaks Team. We did not have to worry about setting up, coordinating the vendors, directing guests, packing up or any other logistics - the team really did an amazing job behind the scenes! The venue is also so well kept and we loved all the different locations: bridal suite, groom suite, tent, outdoor ceremony space, reception hall, and all of the great green space outdoors. It was really nice to have a backup plan in case of rain and we knew the Penn Oaks Team would be ready to adapt as needed (luckily not needed)! All the other details were great such as the food, cake, and table setups.
From the moment we began planning, the Penn Oaks Team was so accommodating and professional. Every detail, from the decor to the service, exceeded our expectations. Our guests were equally impressed and have not stopped raving about how wonderful everything was. We cannot recommend Penn Oaks enough - this vendor is a no brainer for weddings or any other events! They truly make the process as simple as possible and make you & all your guests feel so special on your wedding day!
The most magical wedding
Penn Oaks was flexible to make our day everything we could ever dream of and accommodating to unexpected circumstances. My dad was diagnosed with cancer a month before the wedding. As soon as I told Carina, she helped us rearrange the seating chart so my parents had a table to themselves, servers to themselves who wore masks and gloves so my parents could be there and stay safe. The upgraded package is worth every penny, you get so much for what you pay for.
Penn Oaks has a lovely staff who will work with you to give you the wedding of your dreams.
We are beyond grateful for everything Penn Oaks provided us.

The staff at Penn Oaks are amazing. They legitimately care about your wedding day and want to make it a perfect day for the couples. I've worked there many times and every time I go back it's always a pleasure. The grounds of Penn Oaks almost feel as if they're made for wedding images. Everything from the entrance way all the way back to the water fountain on the course. This is one of those venues where you can go and have everything done in one spot and not even remotely come up short on good times, amazing photography locations and friendly staff.
It is always a pleasure working with the staff at Penn Oaks Country Club. Their grounds are beautiful and make my job as a photographer easy as can be. Plus as an added bonus their food is amazing!
