Party Cake Shop on Brookline Blvd. has the best cakes. My husband and I went to several bakeries for a taste test, but Party Cake blew them all out of the water. They were the most reasonably priced, and the only bakery willing to cut a quarter sheet cake down to an eighth (since that's what my design, cake stand required) which you wouldn't think would be an outrageous request, but the other bakeries refused. (Signature even had the nerve to tell us they didn't need our business when I asked them if they could make an eighth sheet cake, their not happy unless you get the whole dessert package.) Party Cake's cakes are moist and the icing isn't overly sweet. I have used this bakery all my life, and will continue even though they are now a bit of a drive for me.

Jessie designed, baked and delivered the wedding cake of my dreams. I showed her a picture of the general idea of what I wanted and we worked together to design a unique, beautiful wedding cake. We went with vanilla cake and it was moist and delicious. My (now) husband and I are incredibly picky when it comes to cakes and often find wedding cakes disappointing at best. Our cake was moist, smooth, and had our guests coming back for more.

The cake we ordered from Party Cake Shop was not only beautiful, but delicious. The baker listens well to the bride's desires, and for outdoor receptions, pays attention to changes the weather may require, but does not compromise on taste. Several guests commented that our white cake with raspberry filling was the best wedding cake they'd ever tasted, and on our anniversary, we were pleased to find that our top layer had stayed fresh in the freezer.

I highly recommend Party Cake Shop if you want a memorable, delicious cake.

Our cake was delicious and all of our guests commented on how delicious the cake was... we didn't have any leftovers! Just our one year anniversary cake.

I went with Party Cake Shop for our wedding cake at a friend's recommendation, basically because they had a good price and I didn't feel like shopping around too much. My husband and I stopped in, met with Jesse, tried some cake (which was delicious!) and were set. I stopped in once the month before the wedding as well to finalize what we wanted the cake to look like. Party Cake Shop wasn't the best at responding to emails, but the final product was delicious and simple but elegant looking. Definitely a good value for the cost.

The cake was delicious--we went with a french vanilla cake and raspberry cream filling. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on the cake so we ended up with a small cake to feed about 60 people and a sheet cake in the back to feed another 65 and the total was about $300. It was difficult getting in touch with the bakers and I sent numerous emails to coordinate exactly what we were looking for but all in all it was a good experience.

We decided to do a cupcake tower with a small round top tier instead of a tradtional wedding cake. We went all over and like there cupakes and flavors the best.

But it was soooo hard to get a hold of someone that knew what they were doing. We had to call and go into the store several times just to place the order.

I went in the week of the wedding because I was in the area to check on my order and they couldnt find it. Then they said Oh im sure so and so has it and they found it stuck some where. Glad I went in. But this should have been a warning!

On the wedding day a groomsman picked up the 17 dozen cupcakes (he didnt know what all it was he was just picking up).

We were supposed to have all 3 types of icincg: buttercream, chocolate, and raspberry and they were supposed to be airbrushed deep red and light gold. What we got were almost all whipped cream icing mixed with this crazy pink icing or plain white. Well aparently our guests hated the whipped cream icing as much as I do because we ended up taking home dozens and dozens of whipped cream icing cupcakes.

This was the only thing to go wrong on our wedding day.
