We chose Tasty Bakery for our October 2024 wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Their team helped us create the best dessert menu with fun flavors and amazing designs. 

Our cake tasting with Bev and her team was so much fun – she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding us through all the delicious options. We were able to create a custom cake that perfectly matched our vision.

The final result was absolutely beautiful and tasted even better than we remembered from the tasting! We can't wait to dive into our top tier for our 1-year anniversary. We also ordered a donut wall which was a huge hit - truly a show stopper. It looked incredible

For our wedding cake (and cupcakes for my bridal shower), we went with Tasty Bakery and boy was it tasty! Us and all our guest only had great things to say about how delicious everything was! The taste testing was fun and you get to sample plenty of cake, filling, and icing to find the perfect combo you want. We went with a 2 tier cake plus sheet cakes to serve our guests. The cake details were BEAUTIFUL and they worked with my florist to add fresh flowers to the cake as well! My sister plans to use them for her wedding cake, and I plan to order some desserts and cupcakes for her shower as well after the great experience we had! We couldn’t recommend Tasty Bakery enough!

Cake Tasting was definitely such a fun part of wedding planning! We tried out 5 local bakeries in the Pittsburgh area- I was born for that day! lol However, Tasty Bakery was by far our number one choice. We had so much fun at the cake tasting and each cake pairing we tried was delicious! My husband and I were able to proceed with the tasting alone that way we could share our thoughts and ideas, then when we were finished, Amanda sat with us and gave us the run down of all the information and pricing. She was very nice and easy to chat with. Leading up to the wedding, she was very helpful with picking a design and cake stand.

We ended up choosing almond batter and raspberry filling for our wedding cake. Omg it was SOOOOOOOO good (I legit can’t wait for our 1 year anniversary to eat it again). AS we all know, not everyone eats cake at a wedding but we received a crazy amount of compliments on how delicious it was.

Our venue accidentally tossed out our top tier due to us forgetting to take it that next day and then unfortunately an audit. Tasty Bakery was so sweet with helping us order/picking up another one with all of the freezer instructions.

If you go with Tasty Bakery for your special occasion, you won’t be disappointed!!! 😋

We loved our cake! Our wedding guests raved about it too. We loved being able to taste our flavors prior to making a final decision and the team was communicative and easy to coordinate with. The flavor combination we ended up with, strawberry with lemon buttercream, was unique and delicious. Our cake turned out beautifully and we loved that we could rent cake stands from them as well. I wish I wasn’t making myself wait a year to eat the top tier. We hope to buy more cakes from them in the future!

I can start by saying that I’m literally getting a mini sculpture of this cake made because I never want to forget it!!! Not only was my cake BEAUTIFUL, it tasted just as amazing as it looked!! The ladies at Tasty Bakery were such a joy to work with & gave us a wonderful tasting experience, too!! I can’t recommend them enough! I am a huge cake enthusiast so I knew I had to find the BEST cake in Pittsburgh for my wedding. After many cake tastings I found Tasty Bakery and it was love at first bite. I loved all the cakes I sampled and I struggled to choose just one. I ended up serving 5 different cakes with different combinations of butter creams and fillings on my wedding day. For us we wanted a beautiful design AND delicious cake. Tasty does it all. Beverly and her team did an incredible job supporting us to make our cake dreams come true. Even though we had to postpone our wedding a year because of Covid and visa postponements, Tasty’s team was extremely understanding and willing to support us through our wedding planning. We wanted to have two cakes to represent how our Jamaican and Peruvian cultures became one on our wedding day. Our theme combined the tropical ocean of Jamaica with bold bright colors of Peru. Our cakes went above and beyond our expectations. We were so impressed with our ocean wave wedding cake and sea urchin grooms cake! We got so many compliments on the unique designs and the delicious flavors! My wedding guests still talk about our cakes to this day. Thank you Tasty Bakery for making our wedding cake dreams come true!

Tasty Bakery was such a pleasure to work with for our September wedding at the zoo! We were planning from out of the area, but having our wedding in Pittsburgh. The communication from start to finish was quick and efficient.
We knew we didn't want a traditional cake and Beverly and her team brought our vision to life! The cupcakes were AMAZING and unique. The unique flavors and combinations were fantastic.
They were not doing in-person tastings due to covid precautions, but offered us a "tasting to go" which gave us an opportunity to try the flavors we wanted for ourselves and our guests at our wedding. They were so easy to work with and even helped us with ideas for little changes that would still look great but would be more budget conscious. They never tried to oversell anything just to make a profit. I would highly recommend Beverly and her team to make your event shine!

Not only are these cakes absolutely beautiful but they taste just as good as they look! There are a ton of flavor options to choose from. I had a great experience with Tasty Bakery for my wedding day and the communication was great throughout the whole process!! Would highly recommend!!

I couldn’t say enough nice things about Tasty Bakery. They made the entire process so easy from the tasting to delivery the day of. They have so many batters and fillings to choose from, and every one we tried was delicious. On the day of the wedding, our cake was exactly how we wanted it and looked even better than I was picturing! After the wedding we had several family members asking where the cake was from, we got so many compliments on how good it was. We even ended up ordering my mom’s birthday cake 2 months later from Tasty in the same flavors because she loved it so much!

We are so happy that we got our wedding cake and cupcakes through Tasty Bakery. Our tasting was so fun--the flavors were all so incredible. It was almost impossible to choose which flavors of cake and frosting we wanted to go with because they were all incredibly delicious. Unreal. The champagne cake flavor is amazing—it tastes like real champagne. We were so thrilled to share Tasty Bakery’s expertise with our guests, and we can’t wait for our anniversary because we have to order our flavors again! Who knows if we can even wait until a one year anniversary, we’ll probably make a 6 month celebration too for any excuse to eat their cakes again! Thank you Tasty Bakery!
