We chose Tasty Bakery for our October 2024 wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Their team helped us create the best dessert menu with fun flavors and amazing designs.
Our cake tasting with Bev and her team was so much fun – she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding us through all the delicious options. We were able to create a custom cake that perfectly matched our vision.
The final result was absolutely beautiful and tasted even better than we remembered from the tasting! We can't wait to dive into our top tier for our 1-year anniversary. We also ordered a donut wall which was a huge hit - truly a show stopper. It looked incredible

For our wedding cake (and cupcakes for my bridal shower), we went with Tasty Bakery and boy was it tasty! Us and all our guest only had great things to say about how delicious everything was! The taste testing was fun and you get to sample plenty of cake, filling, and icing to find the perfect combo you want. We went with a 2 tier cake plus sheet cakes to serve our guests. The cake details were BEAUTIFUL and they worked with my florist to add fresh flowers to the cake as well! My sister plans to use them for her wedding cake, and I plan to order some desserts and cupcakes for her shower as well after the great experience we had! We couldn’t recommend Tasty Bakery enough! -

Happy Sept 2023 Bride!
Cake Tasting was definitely such a fun part of wedding planning! We tried out 5 local bakeries in the Pittsburgh area- I was born for that day! lol However, Tasty Bakery was by far our number one choice. We had so much fun at the cake tasting and each cake pairing we tried was delicious! My husband and I were able to proceed with the tasting alone that way we could share our thoughts and ideas, then when we were finished, Amanda sat with us and gave us the run down of all the information and pricing. She was very nice and easy to chat with. Leading up to the wedding, she was very helpful with picking a design and cake stand.
We ended up choosing almond batter and raspberry filling for our wedding cake. Omg it was SOOOOOOOO good (I legit can’t wait for our 1 year anniversary to eat it again). AS we all know, not everyone eats cake at a wedding but we received a crazy amount of compliments on how delicious it was.
Our venue accidentally tossed out our top tier due to us forgetting to take it that next day and then unfortunately an audit. Tasty Bakery was so sweet with helping us order/picking up another one with all of the freezer instructions.
If you go with Tasty Bakery for your special occasion, you won’t be disappointed!!! 😋

We loved our cake! Our wedding guests raved about it too. We loved being able to taste our flavors prior to making a final decision and the team was communicative and easy to coordinate with. The flavor combination we ended up with, strawberry with lemon buttercream, was unique and delicious. Our cake turned out beautifully and we loved that we could rent cake stands from them as well. I wish I wasn’t making myself wait a year to eat the top tier. We hope to buy more cakes from them in the future! -

I can start by saying that I’m literally getting a mini sculpture of this cake made because I never want to forget it!!! Not only was my cake BEAUTIFUL, it tasted just as amazing as it looked!! The ladies at Tasty Bakery were such a joy to work with & gave us a wonderful tasting experience, too!! I can’t recommend them enough! I am a huge cake enthusiast so I knew I had to find the BEST cake in Pittsburgh for my wedding. After many cake tastings I found Tasty Bakery and it was love at first bite. I loved all the cakes I sampled and I struggled to choose just one. I ended up serving 5 different cakes with different combinations of butter creams and fillings on my wedding day. For us we wanted a beautiful design AND delicious cake. Tasty does it all. Beverly and her team did an incredible job supporting us to make our cake dreams come true. Even though we had to postpone our wedding a year because of Covid and visa postponements, Tasty’s team was extremely understanding and willing to support us through our wedding planning. We wanted to have two cakes to represent how our Jamaican and Peruvian cultures became one on our wedding day. Our theme combined the tropical ocean of Jamaica with bold bright colors of Peru. Our cakes went above and beyond our expectations. We were so impressed with our ocean wave wedding cake and sea urchin grooms cake! We got so many compliments on the unique designs and the delicious flavors! My wedding guests still talk about our cakes to this day. Thank you Tasty Bakery for making our wedding cake dreams come true! -

Wedding Cupcakes
Tasty Bakery was such a pleasure to work with for our September wedding at the zoo! We were planning from out of the area, but having our wedding in Pittsburgh. The communication from start to finish was quick and efficient.
We knew we didn't want a traditional cake and Beverly and her team brought our vision to life! The cupcakes were AMAZING and unique. The unique flavors and combinations were fantastic.
They were not doing in-person tastings due to covid precautions, but offered us a "tasting to go" which gave us an opportunity to try the flavors we wanted for ourselves and our guests at our wedding. They were so easy to work with and even helped us with ideas for little changes that would still look great but would be more budget conscious. They never tried to oversell anything just to make a profit. I would highly recommend Beverly and her team to make your event shine! -

Easy to work with and delicious cake!
I couldn’t say enough nice things about Tasty Bakery. They made the entire process so easy from the tasting to delivery the day of. They have so many batters and fillings to choose from, and every one we tried was delicious. On the day of the wedding, our cake was exactly how we wanted it and looked even better than I was picturing! After the wedding we had several family members asking where the cake was from, we got so many compliments on how good it was. We even ended up ordering my mom’s birthday cake 2 months later from Tasty in the same flavors because she loved it so much! -

We are so happy that we got our wedding cake and cupcakes through Tasty Bakery. Our tasting was so fun--the flavors were all so incredible. It was almost impossible to choose which flavors of cake and frosting we wanted to go with because they were all incredibly delicious. Unreal. The champagne cake flavor is amazing—it tastes like real champagne. We were so thrilled to share Tasty Bakery’s expertise with our guests, and we can’t wait for our anniversary because we have to order our flavors again! Who knows if we can even wait until a one year anniversary, we’ll probably make a 6 month celebration too for any excuse to eat their cakes again! Thank you Tasty Bakery! You are flavor scientists and expert professionals. Your process is flawless. -

We worked primarily with Amanda as our liaison, and she was fabulous. She made sure that every single note we had about the cake was heard and met. The detail and love put into the cake was just wonderful, and everyone loved it. Our non-vegan guests didn't even know the cake was 100% vegan. -

The best cake in the Pittsburgh area! Beverly is so freaking talented and a dream to work with! She's super easy going and make our planning process a breeze. We were a COVID couple and had to move our date to 2021 and changed venues 3 times. Beverly was so easy to work with and accommodated all of our requests. Not only do her cakes look awesome, they also TASTE incredible. 10/10 you need to book Tasty! -

Our wedding was on 9/11/21 at the Sunset Room in Elizabeth, PA. There are plenty of bakeries, but in this area (South of PGH) there were just not any places with modern, creative, and polished cakes. They're all very traditional in their looks, but I really wanted something non-traditional, fun, and colorful. I'd basically given up and accepted that look just wasn't available around here. I stumbled upon Tasty Bakery's website and it was EXACTLY what I was l looking for! Multiple ideas/themes/directions I envisioned were styles Beverly already had made. I can't even express the excitement I had. We exchanged e-mails, discussed my vision, and scheduled a tasting. The bakery is GORGEOUS, and our tasting was in this beautiful room with fancy cutlery and it really felt like a movie experience or something. It was really so fun. Beverly gave great guidance to arrive where we did with the design. For our tasting we picked Funfetti, Pumpkin Spice, and Banana cake flavors; and cinnamon cream cheese BC, cream cheese BC, and Funfetti BC icing flavors. My partner loves coffee and Pumpkin Spice was right up his alley for our fall wedding. I'm a bit of a picky eater and legitimately do not like pumpkin, but fell IN LOVE with the Pumpkin Spice cake paired with cinnamon cream cheese BC. We were so sold. We got a smaller two-tier cake and sheetcakes for the rest - the cakes are very customizable (multiple fillings and more)! Beverly was just so wonderful to work with and our cake turned out amazing. I was willing to spend for a cake we loved, and while obviously more expensive than a sheet cake from Giant Eagle, it was less than I expected and worth even more than what we paid. Just cannot say enough good things about this place. Many of our guests raved it was the best cake they've had at a wedding, or ever. Tasty Bakery definitely will have our business for other future life events (and I'm already excited about it). -

I'm still thinking about how delicious our wedding cake was. Tasty Bakery did such a wonderful job. The entire experience, from the tasting, to the multiple emails trying to get the design and colors right, to the wedding day, was perfect. The only thing that didn't go perfectly, and this was not on them at all, was that the color on the word we had written on the cake started to drip from the heat of the day. It actually didn't look bad after it happened and I'm sure no one noticed because it almost looked intentional. We opted to make our own cake topper and they placed it for me when they delivered it. Our flavor combo was almond cake with raspberry filling. We had a hard time choosing this because everything we tried just tasted so darn good! The raspberry wasn't even one of our original choices to taste and they were kind enough to add it to our tasting plate so we could try it. Thank God they did, since that's what we went with. They were able to make a smaller cake for cutting and for the bridal party to eat and had sheet cakes in the kitchen to serve the guests. Everyone commented how delicious they were. Look on Instagram! Their cakes are gorgeous! -

This cake was EXACTLY what I was envisioning for our wedding day. It was absolutely beautiful and my husband could NOT get over how amazing it tasted - he is not huge into sweets and he kept raving about it ! Delivery was flawless and I got so many compliments on the cupcakes. HIGHLY recommend them!!! -

Beverly at Tasty Bakery is beyond talented, she is awesome! We hired her to create our wedding cake and was blown away. She made my vision into A reality, like to a T. Shifting from a May wedding to a December wedding due to Covid, I wanted to embrace the cozy winter vibe of a sweater cake, and she made a sweater cake classy and wedding chic! And let me tell you, not only was it a vision, but it was also DELICIOUS!!! SO. GOOD. If you are looking for a bakery that is cool, professional, creative, and full of fresh ideas, look no further, Tasty Bakery is your bakery!! -

The ONE and the ONLY Wedding Cakes and Desserts. Tasty was absolutely amazing. Beverly did magical work for our wedding day. We had a dessert canoe that was filled with a 3 tier cake, 2 tier cake, a macron tower and assorted mini desserts. All of our guests were in love and Dave and I could not stop eating from our pile as well. Beverly had everything completely customized to exactly what we wanted and it really made our reception flourish with detail. -

Tasty Bakery is amazingly talented and even more delicious! Beverly made our semi-naked wedding cake, along with a sheet cake, for our wedding on September 5th. As soon as I saw the cake, I instantly smiled. Beverly also made us a half of dozen of Gluten Free cupcakes that were raved about. The cake I received from Beverly at Tasty Bakery was truly outstanding. I wanted a small cake just to cut for my guests as I was making pies for the main dessert. She recommended the perfect sized cake and was so responsive and helpful throughout the process. I also wanted a mirror glaze cake, and she did not disappoint. GET YOUR CAKE HERE! Tasty created the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake! It was sooo gorgeous. She created the cake of my dream and worked with me to stay with in my budget to get to a gorgeous end result! Not only is she wickedly talented with her presentation but also with her preparation the cake is sooo sooo soo delicious! And we had a blast with her are the cake tasting! We also worked with me to create and adorable grooms cake for my husband, complete with a sugar replica of our dog! I can not thank her enough and i will definitely be getting future cakes here! -

Beverly's cakes are amazing! My husband and I decided we wanted cupcakes instead of traditional cake. Beverly met with us and we got to taste several kinds. I can’t say enough about Bev and her cakes and cupcakes. I have to have certain food accommodations and Bev made these with absolutely delicious perfection. The design of my cake was absolutely perfect, and more than I could ever dream of. Everyone could not stop raving at how delicious the cupcakes and cake she made us were. Best Cake Ever!
"By far, the best cake I've ever had" - a quote from too many of our guests to count. Beverly was amazing to work with. She was incredibly helpful in building the cake that we wanted. It looked as good as it tasted as well. With so many flavors to choose from, she can make the perfect cake for any couple. We certainly recommend her to anyone for not just a wedding, but any occasion

It turned out so beautifully- classic and elegant with a white buttercream icing with fresh flowers and greenery, strawberry cake batter with strawberry jam. We knew we wanted Tasty Bakery from our initial meeting and cake tasting. Her raspberry mousse filling was amazing and could not be beat! Our wedding cake was so delicious and very fresh! We received countless comments on how good the wedding cake was! Some guests even asked for seconds because their piece was too small. Brooke Sent on 07/07/2018Bev is so incredibly talented! We hired her for our wedding and she created a gorgeous 4-tier cake with the most beautiful hand made flowers that i have ever seen. Not to mention that it was absolutely delicious! I gave Bev a few inspiration pictures leading up to the wedding and her cake exceeded my expectations in every way. It actually took my breath away when I saw it and our guests couldn’t stop talking bout how amazing it was! I also had her make a surprise Groom’s cake for my husband and it was made with the same incredible attention to detail. Not only is Bev a phenomenal artist, but she is an absolute joy to work with. She responded to all communications in a timely manner and was personable and professional throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

Beverly with Tasty Bakery was an absolute joy to work with - so friendly and professional! My husband and I recently got married on September 12, 2020, and as you can imagine, we had to make a lot of last minute changes with COVID-19. Not only was Beverly great, her cakes also tasted amazing! I highly recommend the Almond cake combination with Raspberry jam - we couldn't get enough of it! -
