My first dress was custom made and was not to my satisfaction, in which I spent a pretty penny on. So I then decided to buy a inexpensive evening gown from David's bridal and have it altered. I was in panic mode and had no idea who to take this dress to and was fearful of another disaster but I just so happened to be scrolling on FB the same day I received the dress and God popped her up on my feed. MeMe is an amazing woman! She created our dress with less than a week to work with and it was perfect!! She was patient and kind and guided us through the process when we were not clear as to what we wanted. She took our vision and made it into a reality! I was impressed with her attention to detail, her skill and the flawless quality of her work. Where do I even start? I can't say enough about Paper Doll Bridal and Mellissa, the owner. A little back-story. I live in St. Thomas, USVI. My family lives in Georgia. I thought this would be a fun way to include my mom in the wedding planning, so I sent Mellissa my dress inspiration, booked my flight and waited. I was worried since I gave Mellissa so little time, but she knew when I would be there and totally made it happen. I had surprised my mom, so she didn't know I was coming home until the day of the fitting. I had to confirm the appointment THAT DAY. We ended up getting there about 45 minutes late. Mellissa kept the shop open for me and my mom. The dress? I can't even... It's PERFECT. I sent her inspiration photos, told her things I wanted to change, and she made it. That's right. SHE MADE IT. AND her pricing was very reasonable.
Also, when I tried on the dress, there were just a few things I had to change. (Since I wasn't there for her to measure in person, I gave her some slightly off sizes.) She fixed them right there in less than 5 minutes.
I would HIGHLY recommend Paper Doll Bridal. She's fantastic and my wedding day would not be perfect had she not made my dress.
