Celena did an AMAZING job helping us organize our reception dinner. Exceptionally kind, attentive, and organized, Celena was always available via email or for in-person meetings to discuss even the smallest of details. She made planning our reception FUN and STRESS-FREE and was happy to accommodate all of our requests. The dinner and service EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS, and all of our guests had only the best things to say about the party. We felt like we had the five-star royal treatment from start to finish. We highly recommend Celena and OCC for any couple looking for an elegant reception and an especially talented event manager, and we cannot wait to work with Celena again in the future.

My daughter had her wedding here and it was beautiful. The service, food, atmosphere and attention to details were amazing. Celena (Catereing Manager) our contact was always helpful and accommodating. She made the entire process very easy and relaxed. The service staff and bartenders were pleasant with all our guests and had great happy attitudes. The room lighting, furniture, table settings, candles, linens all provided in our package made the entire evening very elegant and festive. Our entree selections were all delicious and large portions with wonderful salads. The view is spectacular and our guests enjoyed walking on the balcony during cocktail hour. We never felt rushed or pressured throughout the entire process. I'll miss dealing with this wonderful group and can't wait for the next event there. We recently held our daughter's wedding reception at the Orinda Country Club and it was wonderful. The facilities and spaces were beautifully set up-- exactly as we had requested and allowed our approximately 160 guests to dine comfortably, mingle, have quiet conversations, dance, etc. The coordination between outside vendors (florist, disc jockey, baker) was seamless. My husband and I were able to enjoy the party without worrying about the details.

The passed hors d'oeuvres and buffet selections were well presented, plentiful, and most of all, delicious! A number of our guests commented that it was the best banquet food they had ever had. The service was on point. The staff cleared tables unobtrusively and kept the restrooms clean and supplied as the evening went on.

It seemed as if every single staff member--Jeremy and Celena, of course, but also, chefs, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance personnel--was committed to making the event as special as he or she could for our family.

Although the Orinda Country Club is "off the charts" elegant and impressive, the Club represents a surprisingly excellent value. The menu prices are comparable to those of other venues with no compromise of quality or ingredients. Since the Club owns its own chairs, linens, etc. and is so richly appointed, you may not want or need to rent those or purchase many additional decor items.

She won't make promisses that she can't keep and she keeps the promisses that she makes. She helps paint a honest & maluable picture of how the venue, bar, and food can best work for you, your budget, and your guests. She adds value to the experience and the planning process. Her team of staff are also top knotch, and a well oiled machine.

An excellent location for weddings and/or bigger parties. You get a brilliant event manager (Celena), who cares about your party and makes almost everything possible. Friendly service staff, good food, great views of the Orinda hills, and a sublime 1920s building. We would definitely choose the Orinda Country Club again for our celebration.

We worked with Celena Genest and she was wonderful. They were very flexible on what we wanted for food. The day of could not have gone more perfectly. Celena was there every step of the way. She managed the set up of the hall with our homemade table centerpieces perfectly. She recommended a incredible photographer and worked well with all the vendors. The food was perfect. We requested a Cajun/creole buffet and we heard repeatedly all night how amazing the food was. We would highly recommend this beautiful venue and it's incredible staff.
