Absolutely incredible — there’s truly no better way to describe Irene at Ohh Darling Events.
After being engaged for two years, my husband and I decided we couldn’t wait another year to get married. So, we planned our wedding in just three months — cue the anxiety. With such a short timeline and so many details still undecided, we started to question if we could pull it off at all. Then we found Irene, and everything changed.
From our very first call, Irene brought a sense of calm and confidence that we didn’t even realize we needed. She took the time to truly get to know us as a couple and understand our vision — even when I wasn’t sure that vision was realistic. She assured us it was, and more importantly, that she could help us bring it to life.
Our wedding was on the smaller side, with about 70 guests, and we opted for a non-traditional, DIY-inspired aesthetic. Since we didn’t have a lot of time, we aimed for simplicity and hired Irene as a day-of coordinator to help things run smoothly. But what we got was so much more.
Irene went above and beyond in every way — she stayed in constant contact, offered thoughtful advice without ever being pushy, and handled vendor communications seamlessly while always keeping us in the loop. She was unbelievably organized, offered to take on more than we ever expected, and brought a calm, grounded presence to what is usually a chaotic process.
On the day of, Irene and her assistant created an absolutely beautiful wedding space. We had asked for something simple — just bud vases, flowers, and candles to stay within budget. But what she delivered blew us away. Every flower was carefully chosen, every detail perfectly placed, and the entire presentation exceeded anything we had imagined. She executed our vision tenfold, all while being incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in our happiness.
Throughout the day, she anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them. She was never in the way, yet somehow always right there when we needed her. It’s been a week since the wedding, and our friends and family are still raving about how amazing and sweet Irene was — and we couldn’t agree more.
Weddings are full of big decisions, and it’s easy to second-guess yourself. But from our very first conversation with Irene, we knew we had made the right choice. We’re so grateful for everything she did — from the beginning of the planning process, through the big day, and even after.
Irene, we’ve said it a million times already, but thank you. You made our special day even more magical than we imagined, and we’ll never forget it.

Irene, and Ohh Darling Event were amazing! She kept us on track throughout the planning process. She handled getting our blocks of hotel rooms. She reviewed contacts before I signed them. She politely pushed back on vendors to get what we needed and made sure they had their insurance submitted to our venue without delay and provided recommendations of vendors when we needed them. The biggest help came on the day of the wedding. Her and her assistant, along with a friend of mine assembled all our centerpieces while we got ready for wedding. She also made sure that things ran smoothly and on time. We had a misunderstanding with our caterer who didn’t know they were supposed to cut and serve our wedding cake, which she handled quickly, so that we didn’t have to worry. At the end of the wedding, she gathered everything with us to pack up into our cars so that we were out of the venue quickly. I can’t say enough good things about Irene or her company. I wouldn’t host another event without her. She will make your day stress free.

Irene is the sweetest girl in the world. It is important to her for the bride to get exactly what she wants and will even give you ideas about the decor and what would work well on your wedding day. She was super organized and very prompt as well!

We couldn’t have pulled off our wedding reception without Irene’s help! We had to change wedding plans 3x because of covid and then found ourselves re-planning our wedding from scratch in 3weeks. Our reception venue required us to have a day of coordinator and recommended Ohh Darling Events. Luckily for us, Irene was available and omg I am sooo thankful she was! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was good to go for our reception! We met with her before, walked the venue, and talked through the layout and our vision. She was super friendly, had great ideas with how to set up the space, and was very flexible for when we needed to meet with her to chat through things or drop off decor. On the day of, she was very good at making sure things stayed on track with our timeline, and also made sure me and my husband actually were able to eat! Beyond helping to make our wedding reception an amazing night, she was able to put me in touch with a stylist and when news came up a week before the wedding that our original officiant wasn’t going to be able to make it, she helped put us in touch with an officiant who was available. Irene truly went above and beyond! I’d highly recommend Ohh Darling Events for any event coordinator needs in St Pete/Tampa area!
