We are under new management as of December 2016 and are focused on providing wonderful stress free event planning. Specializing in beautiful weddings and private parties, Nutridge Estate no longer has a regular luau event.

Nutridge Estate is under new management. I used this beautiful venue for my wedding this past Saturday. They no longer have luaus at this venue. My bridesmaids and I were able to get ready at the historic cottage on the Estate and my husband and groomsmen got ready in the man cave provided by the venue. There have been so many positive improvements to the venue from the time I booked to the time that I had my wedding. They have paved walkways, a nice stage, bathrooms (not port a potties), a man cave (with AC, tv, and other fun activities), and a cute fire pit at the bottom of the property. David who is the estate manager and Chelsie who is the event coordinator were very easy to work with.

Please do not misinterpret my rating. This is a beautiful venue and Reed was a pleasure to work with. However, I think this place is still establishing itself as a wedding venue. A lot of improvements have been done from the time we booked to our actual wedding. I like how it's not typical for Hawaii. It's not on the beach, but still in town. It was also slightly cheaper at the time to comparable venues, but has since gone up in price.

I was very nervous about choosing this venue as I went through a lot of different contact people. We also set up a site visit in Aug 2014 and the person we were supposed to meet didn't show up! A last minute luau was scheduled for the same day and he was too busy. We wandered the venue and spoke to people setting up. Because they were short staffed and a lot of changes were happening, I also had trouble getting responses to my questions. However, my fears were assuaged when Reed came on board. And a ton of improvements happened. Nice port-a-potties have been installed. A second tent behind the stage also went up. The area where the luaus are held (in front of stage) was rather large for my 75 person reception.

The only negative I heard on the day of was dealing with the caretaker of the house. We wanted to do some "getting ready" photos and he initially told us we couldn't do it, even though Reed had said we could. It was resolved and we did end up doing some photos in the living room. Also be aware the caretaker will be hanging out during your ceremony/reception, probably in casual clothes. Also, this venue is on the side of the mountain with spectacular views, but the drive up is a bit precarious and our party ended early (probably because people didn't want to drink as much). You'll also need valet parking. And though a tent is provided, you'll also need lights, tables, chairs, linens. But it's a beautiful venue and they've made a lot of improvements since last year!
