About

In Erie County, just 5 miles outside the village of East Aurora, NY, Notting Hill Farm is a quick drive from the city, but feels very far away and very private.

Tucked into a quiet, manicured pasture on a 200-acre working farm at the top of a hill with a million-dollar view, the Granary is a traditional timber frame barn with authentic mortise and tenon joinery. The two-story, fully climate-controlled barn is surrounded by naturally beautiful pastures, striking floral borders, and lush woods. The spectacular, pastoral farm setting and traditional, authentic-yet-modern facility with its large capacity and amenities, are simply unmatched in Western New York.

· Location, location, location. No other venue in WNY has a secluded, private and serene setting on a quiet country road with a spectacular, panoramic view, and only 10 minutes to the nearest hotels in the quaint village of East Aurora!

· Quality. There’s no match for the quality of our building, or the quality of your experience. Not only is our building chock full of luxurious amenities, including two fantastic and very large get-ready spaces, it is the most perfect and stunning backdrop for your dream day. TONS of natural lighting for great photos, and numerous indoor and outdoor photo ops.

· Value. At Notting Hill Farm, we have NO MINIMUMS and NO HIDDEN FEES. Our venue rental fee INCLUDES your ceremony/ceremony chairs/arbor and setup, an experienced and meticulous DAY-OF COORDINATOR (the only thing you worry about on your wedding day is YOU), linens, and MUCH MORE. Our pricing is transparent and simple and spelled out clearly in our Pricing Guide (see attached)…there are no “hidden” charges for catering tents, trucks, and equipment that you may encounter at other venues. And our venue rental fee is priced per season, giving you lots of options to save!

· Capacity. We can very comfortably accommodate weddings of 50 and up to 250, no breaking down guest tables to make room for dancing, no dance floor or buffets located in a separate room, and our bar is located right in the main space for ease of guest access. We can also accommodate a variety of floor plans, and we have both round and rectangular tables!

· Back-Up Plans. Not only do we have a back-up covered ceremony space (our beautiful covered patio), we are one of the few venues that also has automatic standby generators that switch on automatically in the event of a power outage and power the entire building. Additionally, we also have a full professional sound system in the event your DJ’s system fails. We keep the party going!

· Exclusive catering with Zambistro, one of Western New York’s BEST caterers. Zambistro has put together menus exclusive to our venue. When you book with us, your date is automatically secured with Zambistro, and we work hand-in-hand as a team to ensure a flawless day. No caterer shopping required!

The most beautiful modern barn in the most stunning location

We had the most perfect wedding day 9.20.19 at Notting Hill Farm. I don’t even know where to begin! I will start by saying Jill and Chris are the most amazing and helpful venders. They set up and hung decor for us and made sure everything was clean and set. Our guests were blown away by how stunning the view and place was. I had so many people ask me where I found it and tell me how perfect it was. The bathrooms, the bridal suit, getting ready room, everything is so unique and gorgeous. This venue has everything you could ever hope and dream of for your special day. I do not have a single compliant everting was beyond perfect! Thank you Jill and Chris!!!

Top of the Line - Everything

As the first wedding at this new venue we expected a few little kinks would need to be worked out on us, but NO. They did an amazing job! The location & building are absolutely gorgeous! The owners worked tirelessly to get everything done & ready. Mother Nature was not our friend this spring & still everything was the best it could have possibly been. I know it will only get better!

Beautiful venue, terrible coordination and communication

My husband and I had our wedding at Notting Hill in July 2026.

We privately shared this feedback with the venue (and did not ask for anything in return). We were hoping for a constructive conversation and just wanted to help prevent these issues in the future. However we were met with very defensive responses.

I’ll start with the positives, this is an absolutely stunning venue. The general staff here were very nice and attentive. A pro for us is that there are very few choices to make, the venue handles the bulk of your wedding needs. However, with this, the venue does force you to use their provided day-of wedding coordinator. You cannot use an outside coordinator, even if you just wanted to hire someone in addition to theirs.

With all that being said, our experience was a bit tarnished by failed coordination.

1. Sound Limit Policing
The venue has a 86 dB sound limit, which I do understand for safety reasons. We intentionally hired one of their highly recommended DJs, who they claim was very familiar with their setup. However, at the start of dancing, the coordinator stepped onto the dance floor mid-song, used a smartphone app to measure the sound directly at the speaker, forcing the DJ to turn the volume down, and then vanished. My husband wasted nearly 30 minutes of our wedding trying to find a solution for this. He tried to mediate, move speakers, and even suggesting using the venue’s built-in sound system for even distribution, the coordinator did not provide any compromise or assistance.

It’s important to understand that sound dissipates as it travels, so measuring at the speaker is inaccurate for overall measurement. This resulted in the music being very quiet on the dance floor, which completely killed the energy and ultimately our guests migrated outside. Ironically, in our conversation with the owner, they stated that they arrived later in the evening and they thought the music was "too low." They responded by repeating that they “don't micromanage sound,” completely invalidating our experience and refused to take accountability. The reception dancing was very important to us. It’s our favorite part of going to weddings.

2. Other Coordination Failures
Missing Coordinator: When the sound enforcement happened, and when our timeline started falling apart, the coordinator was difficult to locate. Crucial photo announcements were skipped, and the cake cutting was missed until our DJ finally brought it up.

Selective Weather Rules: The forecast called for rain, but it cleared into a beautiful, sunny day by our 3 PM start. The venue includes lawn games, but they were never put out. The owner placed blame on the "chance of rain." Conveniently, the same forecast didn't stop them from setting up our outdoor ceremony or the paid add-on fire pit (which would have been refunded if it rained).

"Heavy Lifting" Left to Us: The venue promises they will do all the heavy lifting. They enforce a hard stop at 10 PM with a strict exit no later than 11 PM. We were originally assured that staff would pack everything up for us to easily load into our vehicles. However, at 10 PM, no one was starting this process. Anxious to meet their strict deadline, we took matters into our own hands. The owner later claimed we cleaned up "too quickly" for the coordinator to help. At a minimum, the coordinator should have stepped in to reassure us they had it handled so we could say goodbye to our guests, though the expectation we had from our initial meeting was that we wouldn’t have to lift a finger.

Ultimately, if the sound policing hadn't ruined the dance floor, we likely would have overlooked the other missteps. We understand that every wedding has minor hiccups, but for the premium price Notting Hill charges, you expect a baseline of professionalism that simply wasn't there.

Terrible people

This has nothing to do with covid and everything to do with being a good human. She did not answer my calls, or my mom's for weeks. Changed her mind on what we were allowed to do multiple times so we could not plan anything. 3 weeks before my wedding she gave me the green light to have it, who can plan a wedding in 3 weeks. Its not even about the fact she didn't give us any money back( I know your stupid contract says no money back but you purposely held out so we had to cancel so you could keep the money). It's about the way you handled it, and it was terrible. Luckily we got married and it was better!
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
