Instead of going the route of a traditional wedding cake, we decided to go with Nothing Bundt Cake for our DIY Wedding. We ordered a tiered bundt cake (in pecan prailine/chocolate choc. chip) as our main cake, a 10 inch bundt cake (in white choco. raspberry) and an 8 inch bundt cake (in lemon). Although you can buy their cakes decorated, we decided to decorate ours by ourselves. Our bundt cakes were our main dessert and served with gluten free meringues from another vendor. Let me say that everyone LOVED LOVED LOVED our cakes! These four cakes more than satiated our 40 guests, and many people went back up for seconds. So delicious! The pecan prailine and the lemon were the biggest hits. Everyone kept commenting on how classy and cute our cakes looked, and with just the right decorations, they still had a wonderful wedding vibe. Although their mini bundts are adorable, we decided it was more cost effective to go with several different cakes. The vendor was very easy to work with. We picked up our cakes the night before our wedding and kept them in the fridge to prevent the icing from getting soft. On the day of the wedding, we drove them to our site and unwrapped the plastic. They remained in PERFECT condition! And the best part? We can relive our wedding cake whenever we want for about $30!
