Betsy and her Nine Cakes team are absolutely wonderful, and produced the wedding cake of our dreams for our June 2022 wedding. Betsy came highly recommended by our photographer, though we were already in love with her designs from seeing her work on Instagram and other wedding websites. Betsy's sugar flowers are UNREAL and unlike anything I've ever seen before. Betsy worked with us personally to discuss elements of the design and what we liked from her previous work; our only disappointment was not getting to do an in person cake tasting due to COVID! Nine Cakes sent us the cutest tasting box and we were thrilled to make a night out of cake tasting with my parents. We knew her cakes tasted great from our tasting box (sent perfectly packaged to our home!), but our venue coordinator told us guests were saying it was the best wedding cake they've ever had AND they were going back for seconds! For a family that loves dessert and a beautiful wedding cake, Betsy knocked it out of the park.

Nine Cakes created the most stunning (and delicious) cake for our recent wedding. Originally, we were torn on whether to use real flowers or sugar flowers on the cake, and once we saw Nine Cakes, we were sold- and so happy with our decision! Apparently guests were placing bets on whether the flowers were real or not - the cake was that magical and fit our decor beautifully! As gorgeous as the cake was it was just as delicious. We brought the top home with the intention of freezing it but just couldn't help ourselves and ended up digging in haha. Many people went back for seconds. We ordered two flavors for the different layers- almond and vanilla cardamom. But every flavor we tried during our tasting was a winner.

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake from Nine Cakes. I was so happy that our venue packed our top tier so that we could indulge the morning after. We have also frozen a slice to share on our anniversary. We had a marble cake with two layers of strawberries and buttercream and a middle layer of buttercream and chocolate pearls. We worked with Haley and she was incredibly understanding when our original wedding was cancelled with 8 days notice due to covid. We changed up our design and made it simpler due to the smaller guest count. Our cake did not have any fondant which we loved - it made it so much easier when we did our cake cutting. It was also more fun to smear a little frosting on my husband's face that way. All in all, I wish their Hudson storefront could open a location in Manhattan so that we could stop in to pick up a little something when we are feeling nostalgic towards our wedding. Thank you Haley and team for baking our wedding cake. It was perfect.

If you want an absolutely delicious cake that is stunning, you must use Nine Cakes. No one can compare! We absolutely loved the process of selecting the flavors (from home) and the design of our wedding cake. It was a true centerpiece to remember! We were told the additional vegan mini cakes were very tasty.

Betsy and Haley were a dream to work with and their level of talent was unreal. We wanted 3 smaller cakes for our wedding, instead of one large one. I had a couple of reference photos of what I liked, but in my mind they didn’t make sense together. They were able to design the cakes to have all the parts that I liked in my reference photos and were able to make the cakes look like they belonged together without being too matchy. The sugar flowers were so realistic, I had to actually bite one to convince a guest that they weren’t real flowers. On top of the cakes looking beautiful and fitting in seamlessly with the florals and décor of our wedding, they tasted incredible! We had 3 flavors: almond with raspberry, chocolate, and tiramisu, and I still can’t decide which one was my favorite. They also gave us extra boxes so we could take the leftovers to brunch the morning after our wedding. We were especially happy about this because we had so many people not able to come to our wedding last minute because of Covid. We could not have been happier with the cakes they made and our overall experience working with them. We are already talking about asking them to make a small cake for our 1st anniversary!

Nine Cakes is absolutely amazing – both the team and the finished product! We really appreciated how easy it was to sample cakes with the cake sampler box. After narrowing down our favorites (which was so hard with so many yummy flavors), we had a great chat with Betsy to finalize the design. The final design was absolutely perfect and our guests loved comparing the different flavor combos we picked! We can’t wait to have the top tier of our cake in a year!!

Working with Nine Cakes for our wedding was an amazing experience! My husband and I LOVE dessert so we were really focused on finding the right cake for our wedding. We tried out a few different tasting options in the beginning and it was clear right away that Nine Cakes was by far the best and most delicious option! Betsy was communicative, easy to work with, and totally got our vision (despite never meeting in person because of Covid!). Despite all the odds of wedding planning in 2020, Betsy made it such an enjoyable experience and we absolutely loved our cake!! We will be Nine Cakes customers for life :)

Nine Cakes is a preferred vendor of the venue we booked, and was the only one we had to reach out to. We scheduled a cake tasting where you pick 4 flavors ahead of time (the cost of which can be deducted from your eventual spend). It was difficult to choose, but Betsy let us know we could mix and match with the different tiers, which we took full advantage of! We opted for a simpler design, but were impressed by the variety and quality of their past work. Our only regret is not putting the flavors on our wedding menu, as I'm sure our guests would have loved to try more than one had they known!

My husband I chose Nine Cakes for our wedding cake because we fell in love with their aesthetic, and they definitely did not disappoint. They did a really good job of capturing the mood we wanted to convey, and the cake fit in perfectly with the rest of the wedding venue and décor. Also, the cake was delicious! We did alternating layers using two different combinations (chocolate cake with espresso buttercream and hazelnut cake with white chocolate buttercream and fresh strawberries), and they were both amazing. We can't wait until our first wedding anniversary so that we can eat our saved top layer!
