Steve is a fantastic DJ and great guy. He is extremely knowledgeable about music, pleasant to work with, and very thorough. He made sure to go through the flow of our day in great detail and made himself available for as many planning meetings as we needed. Leading up to the day we had full confidence that our wedding would go smoothly with him emceeing and DJing. He more than delivered, as our guests did not leave the dance floor. He was very receptive to our playlists and played songs that were both personal favorites as well as well known hits that everyone knew and could dance/sing to. We cannot recommend him enough!

We had Steve from Night Music DJ as our DJ for our wedding last August and he was fantastic. He handled set up of the sound system in our ceremony space, cocktail hour space, and reception hall at Jorgensen Farms and handled the music for each part of our big day. We absolutely loved working with Jodi! From the very start, she really took the time to understand the kind of atmosphere and experience we wanted for our wedding - and went above and beyond to make it happen. She deep dived into our music preferences and curated three separate playlists - for pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It all felt completely "us".

Jodi was an exceptional DJ for our wedding. Both her personality and event organization skills were everything you would want in a vendor. Working with Steve was effortless... he is so professional, knowledgeable, and fun! He took the time to understand us (we’re weird) and our unique vision... collaborating with us to turn our wedding day dreams into a reality.

We mapped out an “arch of emotion & vibes” through the whole day... and Steve delivered! From setting a welcoming tone as guests arrived, prelude music, cocktail hour, speeches, an inclusive first dance to open the dance floor, Greek dancing, the hora, partying all night, to bringing out the LED foam sticks, Steve not only brought the jams but he also managed the energy so well.

We recently got married at Barcelona Restaurant, a favorite of ours in the heart of German Village, Columbus, Ohio. We learned about Night Music, and DJ Jodi from a close friend, who is a professional event planner and initially we were only seeking a DJ for our wedding dance party, but after meeting Jodi who explained her services, we quickly realized we wanted her to facilitate our ENTIRE event - ceremony, reception and after party!!!

From our first phone conversation with Jodi, we were so impressed! Jodi’s calm and patient demeanor, immediately set us at ease (a welcome relief in contrast to all the angst that goes alongside planning a wedding!). She quickly established her intent to make our event as easy and stress-free as possible, and she delivered (A++).

Jodi is a highly experienced professional, she was extremely accommodating with her schedule and spent quality time getting to know us as a couple and to really understand what we were looking for. Her questions to us indicated a genuine interest in her desire to understand what would make our day the most special, her attention to detail was so refreshing and so welcomed!

Jodi took the time to help us identify music for every aspect of our event, we had most of our dance party playlist figured out, but she really helped guide us on what we were missing and provided some great recommendations where we lacked inspiration. She helped us create a detailed timeline for the day of our event, establishing realistic expectations, and identifying where we may need to be flexible. Her experience and insights from prior events were invaluable.

Night Music, and DJ Jodi, were a wonderful addition to our team of wedding vendors, she did a fabulous job to keep the day on track, and collaborated seamlessly with our wedding party coordinator and other vendors (venue, caterers, etc.).

We couldn't recommend Night Music DJ enough! We were introduced to Night Music at my cousins wedding prior to our engagement. Jodi was attentive, kind, easily got the crowd's attention, not to mention the most important part, the music was fantastic! Not your typical wedding music playlist. When it was finally time to book our DJ Night Music was the only option in my opinion. We experienced the same professionalism throughout the planning process! Jodi was so open to our opinions, was extremely thorough while asking questions and understanding our vibe through each part of the wedding. We received SO many compliments through the evening and even after that it was the best wedding DJ they had ever seen and we feel the same way! A wedding DJ can make or break the reception and we are so glad we invested in Night Music DJ!

Steve was absolutely awesome!! He made the entire process seamless and everyone had nothing but positive things to say about him after our wedding reception. From our initial call, I always felt like he understood what we were aiming to do and he was very flexible with our schedules. I also knew we were in good hands when he was excited about the extensive list of songs we sent over as he was thrilled we had so much input and always encouraged us to make it our own. Steve Ransom did a great job DJ’ing our wedding in May. The whole process was organized and professional from start to finish. Night Music has really great forms to fill out to help you plan your music and they were able to get all of the obscure songs my heart desired! I met with Steve to talk through details prior to our wedding and he made sure everything ran smoothly that day. He spoke just enough and was never overbearing. Everything sounded great from the ceremony to the dance floor. Steve can read the room and play songs that resonated with the generations out there dancing. I am very happy with our experience and would highly recommend Night Music (and especially Steve) to anyone needing a professional DJ. Steve and Night Music DJ were absolute joys to work with from start to finish. We instantly connected over our somewhat particular music tastes and it was easy to outline our must and don’t plays. He did a great job shepherding us throughout the reception in a way that never felt hurried or stressful.
