Rick is the best, I have been to many weddings where the DJ goes rogue or doesn’t read the crowd well but he did such a perfect job. Everyone could hear during our ceremony and the music was right on time!! For the reception, my husband and I had an odd mix of music we wanted ((we go Latin dancing so we wanted Bachata & Salsa but also wanted pop dance hits and maybe country swing lol)) and he was so ready to take on the challenge of getting in all our favorite types of dances as well as keep the dance floor full. The floor was packed the whole time we were dancing and we had so much fun watching our guests laugh and dance and sing along with us, even to the songs a lot of people were unfamiliar with!! He even gave us a cd with all our important songs on it from ceremony to reception to listen to!! 💕

Rick went above and beyond to help in all aspects of the wedding. He came early and helped us set up tables and linens (not a part of our contract, he was just a nice guy!) The MCing was upbeat and lively and the music was fun for dancing and appropriate for all ages.

Rick with New Beginnings DJs and Event Planning was truly amazing! He went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect! He even did requests that no other DJ could do for us, and he has so many special things that no other DJ does. He is a mastermind when it comes to events!! I didn’t have to think about anything on my wedding day, he did it all for me! We never had to second guess anything and he was always there to make sure each request happened, each party game, each dance, and each toast happened! He was on top of it the entire night and he made sure to make sure I, as the bride, was calm and happy at all times. He made sure we were having fun but also made sure our guests were having fun during the whole event. He was more than a DJ and we feel so blessed that he did so much for us before and on our special day. Rick went above and beyond with every single thing he did and he made our day his top priority! I researched so many DJs but Rick was the only one who offered so much for a fair price! You honestly don’t even need to do the research! Book Rick! You won’t regret it! And I would book him early! Again, he will do so much for you, your event, and your guests! I still can’t believe all the things he did to make my wedding so incredible. It was the best day of our lives thanks to Rick, his talents, his professionalism, and his passion! Thank you Rick!

Everything was absolutely PERFECT when it came to Rick DJ'ing our wedding! My husband and I would even say absolutely perfect is an understatement! Rick kept our ceremony, and reception, moving seamlessly, and he made it so much fun for everyone. We had countless positive comments related to Rick's work calling the wedding, and reception, the "party of the year!" There were many people at our wedding that we did not expect to dance, and thanks to Rick's music selection, and arrangements, he was able to get everyone involved in dancing at one point in time, or another; some of them ended up dancing all night long! Most ratings only go to five stars, but Rick's work exceeded that scale times a million. My husband and I were so very pleased with how closely he worked with us to personalize our wedding vision, and make it perfect. We planned everything with Rick over the phone, his online form, and email, since we planned from outside of Spokane, and Rick was still able to bring our vision of the perfect ceremony, and reception, together, even though we did not get to meet face-to-face until the day of the wedding. Rick was always very timely with his responses, so easy to work with, and it is not always easy to find someone who is as passionate about his work as Rick is. I would highly recommend Rick, and New Beginnings DJs & Event Planning, to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding.

Rick was a pleasure to work with. He was easy to get in touch with, was well organized and helpful in guiding you through the process. His online discography website was an extra bonus allowing us to add/request/change songs whenever we wanted by logging in. On the day of the wedding he went above and beyond, worked well with our other vendors, and made the day go by seamlessly. We had several guests come up to us and mention how impressed they were with his DJing. Thank you, Rick!

Rick is the best DJ in the area. He was recommended by multiple people the minute I started planning my wedding and I didn't even look into any other DJs after all of the raving reviews that I heard. A DJ is one of the most important components of a wedding and Rick exceeded every expectation that I could have. He had a ton of ideas for the ceremony and the venue and was very flexible to any ideas/comments that we had. He was very open to music request and kept our very diverse crowd happy the whole time. I think they are always a few things that should be prioritized for a wedding and a DJ should definitely be one of them and Rick should definitely be on the top of any of those lists!!

When we began the search for a wedding DJ for my daughters wedding we went to a couple of wedding shows, talked with several DJ companies and found a pattern that was not a good fit for us. These companies had several DJ's working for them and they could not guaranty which DJ would show up for your event. Then, through friends/word of mouth we were directed to Rick Welty. Because of his fun yet calming demeanor we made our decision to go with New Beginnings almost immediately upon meeting with Rick. He really listened to our wants and needs and then assured us that he would do everything in his power to make them happen. I am a little bit (ok, a lot) of a control freak, but as we got closer to the wedding date my daughter and I discussed the possibility of a day of planner. I was a little hesitant to even think about handing over the reigns of my daughters special day to someone else, however when we learned that New Beginnings also offers DOP we decided it was worth looking into. Bottom line, Rick is truly a do it all guy! As our DOP he was there to set up and guide the wedding party through dress rehearsal, calm nerves and prepare us for a great day. On the Day of the wedding Rick showed up at the venue considerably early took my lead in decorating and did everything asked of him. As the time approached for the MOB to leave to get ready for the ceremony and I was still worried about a few things that weren't completed, Rick gently ushered me out and assured me it would all be beautiful, with candles lit and all vendors in place when I returned. I can honestly say that is the last time that day I worried about anything. The ceremony and reception were wonderful, Rick kept everything flowing seamlessly, and once the dance floor started rocking the party was on. A few days later Rick even emailed us a bunch of candid photos he had taken through out the day. I just can't say enough good things about Rick and New Beginnings.

Rick did an awesome job! I was hesitant at first with picking a DJ for some reason but he put my mind at ease and everything was so smooth! He was even out on the dance floor showing us how to Wobble! He gave me his suggestions but also listened to what I wanted. Thank you, Rick!

New Beginnings DJ's is the best! We had DJ Tim (now retired) MC and DJ our wedding. He and his brother, Rick are such a pleasure to work with. They are professional, honest and GREAT at what they do. If I need a DJ in the future, I will be reaching out to them for sure! Tim kept our guests entertained all night and kept everything on schedule.
