The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, based in Pooler, Georgia, is a historic venue available for wedding ceremonies and receptions. This facility is available for rental in order to support the museum, so the events management staff is very dedicated to ensuring your day progresses without a hitch. Their one-of-a-kind rooms create a unique event space capable of hosting up to 300 guests, while the Memorial Gardens’ reflecting pond, gazebos, and vine-covered archways are ideal for gorgeous outside photos.

Facilities and Capacity
The Chapel located in the Memorial Gardens seats 130 guests and is a lovely place to hold nuptials. Stained glass windows and exposed beams frame the picturesque interior, while the gardens outside boast lush greenery and intimate spots to capture a most perfect day. Inside the museum, the large, circular Rotunda seats 260 and has 30-foot-high ceilings. The wedding party can make a grand entrance on the sweeping staircases, surrounded by walls decorated with state flags. In the Art Gallery, guests can view the museum’s private collection of aviation art during a reception that can accommodate up to 120 guests. For a smaller and more intimate party, the High Wycombe Room can seat up to 80 guests. Our newest available room rental, our Combat Gallery, will provide your guests with not only a jaw dropping view, but a reception under the wings of our B-17, one they will never forget! It can seat up to 70 guests. The building is handicap accessible and has plenty of parking for guests.

Services Offered
The museum offers a complimentary on-site bridal suite for the day of the wedding. Included in the room rental are the chairs and tables needed for ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, and engagement parties, as well as set up and break down of the seating. Linens can also be provided upon request. An event manager is also on-hand to coordinate your big day and handle last-minute changes. Before the wedding day, the museum allows couples to use their Special Events Department to help plan the day of details of the wedding. This team can be as hands-on as needed, outlining the full wedding day details or simply providing referrals for preferred vendors..
