Natalie photographed my elopement earlier this month. From the beginning, she was flexible and accommodating when we had to switch our date to a few weeks earlier than we had planned, and she worked with us to make sure the we could get the photos we wanted within our budget. The session with her was such a joy! She made us feel so comfortable, and caught all the most important and littlest moments on camera. She has such a beautiful eye, and a wonderful demeanor too. I cannot recommend her enough!-

I’m Natalie, and it’s super nice to meet you! I’m a San Diego based visual artist, born and raised in Idaho. I got my first camera when I was 15yrs old. While most of my photographs were of friends modeling in potato fields, I knew I had found something worth perusing. In Santa Cruz I studied art and worked with a variety of mixed media, but at the end of the day photography was still my bread and butter… and I reeeally like bread and butter.
I find inspiration from my time spent outdoors and studying the 20th century photographers that made this medium the art form that it is today. I love using light to create mood, emphasizing strong compositions, blurring the lines between digital and film, and creating images that feel effortless and authentic, while still emphasizing my artistic style.
Whether your needs are product photography, documenting an elopement, or discussing the history of American photography, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone more passionate and diligent than me!
