Maureen is the BEST! She was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and made my wedding day absolutely perfect. Day of, I had nothing to worry about because I knew she had everything covered. As an event planner myself, my bar was set high, and Maureen exceeded all expectations. Maureen comes with decades of experience invaluable networks on Nantucket and it certainly shows in the process of working with her. She is professional and efficient and has truly seen it all. She can give you a laundry list of vendors for any myriad of things and speak to other events she has done with those specific vendors. She is also very aligned in terms of her interests - she is there to serve you and you only - not her own interests! Lastly, and in my opinion most importantly, she managed my family dynamic with ease - we had a very large spectrum of working styles and personalities and she was incredibly respectful and gracefully helped us to always determine solutions and navigate a path forward. She has become like family to us in the process and we couldn't speak higher of her character - she is a genuinely great person.

The Kaizer/Schwanfelder 2018 October Wedding Weekend on Nantucket Island was magnificent on ALL levels thanks to Nantucket Island Events….from the beginning days of planning throughout the year, to the very end, all went incredibly smoothly. This wedding was the talk of the town for days. Maggie and her team gave us their all and they were such a pleasure to work with! I, Mother of the Bride, did not have one moment of worry during the entire planning stages. When the big day arrived, we were given the greatest gift of all….to be totally present in this joyous celebration. Their attention to even the most minute detail was always covered. Phone calls and questions were taken care of quickly. They worked extremely well with all of our vendors. Never a problem, always a solution. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Nantucket Island Events. We used their full services for our wedding this past June, and worked mainly with Maggie and Jenna for about 12 months prior to our event. Maggie made herself available at almost any hour of the day via phone email and text, and was incredibly responsive. Super helpful when you are both working long hours. The team has a clear process and methodology that ensures no detail is forgotten. Their past experience and their knowledge of the island was absolutely indispensable when making vendor and budget decisions. As we got closer to the wedding date, we had weekly calls to walk through the status of any payments, & vendor decisions that needed to be made. They were also a huge help with various tasks like mailing out invites, and putting together ceremony booklets. Another big help for us was their interaction with guests. Guests had the option of calling Maggie's staff to help with travel arrangements, and answer any questions about the event or make local recommendations.

As for their work done on the wedding weekend itself, they went above and beyond. Their team was professional, socially savvy, friendly, detail-oriented, but also no BS!!! Very necessary when executing any large-scale event! Everything ran on time, and nothing was forgotten. I gave them the ultimate challenge a day before our wedding when I asked if they happened to have a 'just married' sign for the back of our car, and a flag from our college for a group photo. They were totally unflustered and found both items on island.

I can honestly say that Maggie and Jenna will forever be a part of our lives, and we'll think of them every time on island!

Maggie and the whole NIE team were absolutely outstanding. We could not possibly recommend them higher! Our day was perfect in every way (even though it was torrentially pouring rain...which Maggie managed flawlessly and without missing a beat). Our guests had so much fun and we were so relaxed that we could just focus on being with them and having an amazing time. No complaints whatsoever. Highly, highly recommend!!

We are still in awe at the amazing and perfect wedding weekend our daughter and son-in-law just experienced! Maureen Maher is a first class pro who worked tirelessly to help us assemble a "dream team" of vendors to make it look easy. The bride and groom had a unique vision for their day that was a melding of their personalities. Elegant, formal and classy ceremony combined with a more relaxed party atmosphere tented reception, complete with food catered and served by local rockstars Island Kitchen via their foodtruck, roasted pig (courtesy of the local "pig man), keg of local Whales Tale beer (served in red Solo cups of course!) all complimented by music spun by LA DJ Maplesyrup who ensured no one sat down. Through every element of the year-long planning and execution process Maureen and her team made us feel like we were the most important client they had. No detail was left unattended and no last minute crazy request was shot down. Maureen made it all happen! The day of the wedding her multiple assistants were invaluable helping the bridal party get ready and keeping us all calm and smiling. As an added perk, the Father of the Bride (my hero!) was most excited that Maureen kept us right on budget with multiple meetings throughout the process to ensure we weren't over reaching. I would recommend Maureen and Maggie to any family who's considering a Nantucket wedding and wants not only a first class event but also the assurance of alot fun with the process!

Maggie Stewart made my daughter and son-in-laws wedding dreams come true! It's probably a bit unusual for the bride and groom to thank not only their parents, but also their Wedding Planner in their speech at the reception, but Matt and Kate did just that. Maggie was a delight to work with, she made the entire process stress free, every bit of advice and guidance that she provided was spot-on, and every single detail was taken care of. Our 'vision' for the wedding weekend was always foremost in her mind. We enjoyed several meetings with Maggie on Nantucket, and had bi-weekly phone calls during which she provided us with a timeline of tasks to be completed, she was always immediately available for any questions or concerns that we faced. Due to her amazing organizational skills, the entire wedding planning process was not only stress free, but was actually a time that we all greatly enjoyed as we watched our wedding plans come together. After working with Maggie for over a year and a half, we had such confidence in her and her staff, we were certain that the weekend would be wonderful, as it was. She even managed, somehow, to arrange the most perfect weather for us, in-between two weekends of hurricanes! I believe that one of the greatest compliments that I, as the MOB, can give Maggie, is that I had the most wonderful weekend, that I didn't want the celebration to end, that I had more fun that I ever had expected. If there were any problems or issues over the weekend, I (and the bride) was blissfully unaware of them. Maggie, I can't thank you enough for all that you did for us. I'll miss our Thursday phone calls, but am hoping to visit with you again when we return to Nantucket. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Where do I even begin with how happy we are that we chose Maggie to plan our wedding? It is impossible to express what a pleasure it was to work with her, and how her help meant that we were able to enjoy the wedding planning process from start to finish.

I did a ton of research going into this process, and picked Maggie because all of pictures from her weddings looked like the guests were having the absolute best time. Nantucket can be a pain to get to, so we wanted to make sure our own guests felt like the trip was well worth it and got to experience the best that the island has to offer. Well, I can happily report that all of our guests are now as in love with the island as we are and are already planning return trips! This is definitely thanks to the wedding weekend itinerary Maggie helped us create, and how flawlessly everything was executed. It could not have been a more magical weekend. I've never seen a dancefloor more packed, or felt a room more filled with love.

Most importantly, Maggie's confidence, kindness, and attention to detail helped both my family and my husband's family actually get to relax and enjoy both the weekend itself and the entire planning process. She always kept us focused on the things that mattered most, and made sure that we were comfortable with the decisions we were making. The result was a wedding that was everything we could have ever hoped for and more.
